It’s possible the script for this has been in development for a while. Hell the Karen joke might have been thrown around but they couldn’t think of a clever way to incorporate it into the plot. Also, the Karen meme is something that has long been prevalent; it is only recently that everyone can record everything
Classic South Park was funnier. I enjoyed it until PC Principle arc and trollhunter. It is strange how they have not yet mocked Biden yet they did it with Hillary, Trump, Obama etc. Also, the Karen thing is not really funny in the way that you are not going to spit your tea out laughing. It is like when you had every comedian doing the exact same joke about Trump. You need more material to make people laugh. It is like reading the same book and over, it is going to do your head in. I just hope this not a permanent story arc. With PC Principle, he is a new new character and has had developed into a genuine person.

I haven't watched South Park in 10+ years. But still occasionally watch clips. This show seems to be really milking Randy. It was funny at first but now it's not even that funny to me. Progressing a single character is just laziness with the script. The Karen joke in particular has been slowly getting played out for quite a while now.
