I really love how you set everything up. I always hate when they stick the DJ in the corner away from the dance floor but after watching this video, I see how to make it work now. You just get long cables and move your speakers to the dance floor. Plus your lighting looked awesome!!! Two thumbs up Josh!!!
Nice setup Josh, the only thing I have concern with your setup Is, the room is setup for white wedding color and right by the head table you have two black speakers right up front. Some white covers for your speaker would have been nice to see on them.
Up lights look great. Question: is it better to charge per light or a package up lighting price for weddings. It is very rare that my current customers have ever even considered up lights. So I will need a way to price this additional charge in the future. Thanks.
@@DJJoshErieOfficial I hear that, those uplights are hella spendy!!! I am just starting to amass battery powered pars for uplighting. For those DJ's that can't drop almost $400 per light x20 for a total of $8k you can rent lights like that too. You prolly wont make money renting them, but you might secure that gig. Good job Josh.
Are those your string lights hanging over the dancefloor, or do they belong to the venue. If they are your light, what brand lights are they? They look really nice with the up lighting
you can use the on screen menu to set the pan, tilt, gobo, color, strobe, prisim, and roation from 0-255 like a dmx controller but it’s on the fixture! they do this with even the base model (110s)! you can see he hooked up DMX later but for the beginning he used that
Putting the movers sideways on the speaker stands is fine, The motor's in the fixture are capable of that, same as if you were doing it on truss. Just be careful with the weight balance
you really did not have much room normally I would never set speakers that close either maybe you should have put the speakers in the corners on each side of the room one where you had that 15 and the on the other end in that corner
Setup looked awesome, wow a 9pm finish! Hope you enjoyed your beer 🍻 😎🎧👍🏻

Well done. True professional. I hope to be on your level someday.
Awesome, good job colleague!
Your setup is Wicked. How much you charge for a wedding like that? And how do you go about deciding what to charge?

TJ the DJ Tim J Meyer I charge a flight rate of $400 for about 20 lights.
