Love the help Haze!! Keep it up. You are helping us!! I'm currently learning from you. So for now I'll just cheer you on...later I may know enough to ask a question. ; )
I don't know your exact situation and setup, but you can 100% put multiple follow ups before your positionals in the same script. IE on a valewalker you can put blizzard blade, then back stun, then side stun. And it will back/side based on positioning, and also use blizzard blade if the opener occurred. My apologies if I misunderstood what you were saying by saying to not put follow ups as "openers" and that it only accepts the first 2 sent. I know that if you have any delays in your input, or even delays enabled (but still setting to 0) it will mess up.
It depends. When my character is moving and pressing side/back with three styles it misses due to the follow up to back style. It’s like the server fails to register inputs on first contact with melee. Atlas and Phoenix didn’t have this issue. Only Eden.
@@Hazefest Let me take a look at exactly how I have mine setup because I know I've encountered that behavior but had eventually found a setup that works. And nah I'm saying you don't want any delays as it will mess it up. Either way it's nice to see someone showing people how AHK works so that it's not always seen as a mysterious cheat.
@@deam0155 Hey im having this problem as VW trying to set up my back stun, side stun, and blizzard blade in the same key. The problem im having is that if the string is: {blizzard blade}{back stun}{side stun} and im standing beside it will fire off back stun first, which makes sense of course, but only for the first swing, after that it WILL work, which is odd and is no good. Ive been trying to figure this issue out but no luck and i think you may have figured it out. Able to share how you figured this out?
@thisjohn1 in such a case just run the side and back style. The Eden server runs fast enough to catch 2 inputs. Put your follow ups onto a second key. In days of old the code on the back in would accept more inputs but Eden seems to be faster.
You may have mentioned it and I missed it, but do you have "stick" or "face" set to all of your melee abilities? I'm virtually new to DAoC in general and one of the things I've been dreading the most was having to constantly press keys for following and facing enemies all the time, if I want to get styles off. Seems to me that with AHK you could just have every attack you use to start off with face the target no matter where you're looking. I know you said it was good for casting but I wasn't sure about melee. Also, you said there were no artificial delays needed for this to work? Can a chain with more than two styles be queued up all at once? Sorry for the noob questions; I'm not bullsh*tting about being new to the game :p Edit: Okay, I think I figured out the above after looking through your written guide and seeing that you recommend "stick" for melee and it looks like you set them like that in your scripts, so that's awesome! One less thing to worry about in combat. I'm struggling to understand the first thing you talk about in the video though: You talk about how you can only have two openers when first starting combat, but that followers won't work on the same key until the swing timer starts. So if I'm understanding you correctly, I should have my first key set to JUST those two abilities (like an any and positional/situational), and then manually press another key for any follow-ups to whichever attack lands; whereas, if I'm already in combat, I can do the openers, along with the follow ups for the entire chain, all on one key? If that's the case, I had a question: couldn't you just toggle combat on before getting to the enemy to circumvent this issue, or is it all about that first attack? (Apologies if this is all over the place I'm just confused, lol. I have a feeling I'm overthinking it. I just want to make sure I have it down.)
yea, I know the video is over a year old. But I just started on the new server today. Are you using a winactive button in your scripts? If so, what are they? I can't get AHK to work with the game yet I've got AHK to work fine in World of Warcraft.

I tried doing Send {1}{2}, or two separate sends and setting Setkey delay. I have the same issue with my mouse macros... If I put 0 delay the server sometimes receive just 1 style and if I put 1ms delay the server is fast enough to execute the first style and the second is run after the hit

I use the icons of the styles or spells that I linked to those hotbar keys on my bar as a visual reminder. You use /qbinds to set the keys you want to press. Then add those keys to the AHK script with send commands.
rather odd question but i run into an annoying error. i set my ahk up to use Aurora Borealis (side followup) > Decaying Rage (side opener) > Anytimer. Sometimes he simply uses another Decaying Rage after he successfully used it before. Is there something im doing wrong or does this happen from time to time?
Try using the Follow up attack then opener attack in the order of key presses in ahk. The style chains should be input in the reverse order that they operate in. This way the script uses the next style in the chain each key press.

@Hazefest Hi, Hazefest. What do you use to open the files? My comp links to either an anytime file reader or the generic Google text editor - but these are filled with spam. Is there a specific file I should be using to access your AHK files? Thanks.
Type in AutoHotKey in google and use the non 2.0 version. This should open the .ahk files as scripts. You can edit them and change keys and press order when you edit to whatever you choose if you want to deviate from how I have them setup.
Would you know of any reason why sift or control buttons are not firing in Eden? For eample a script say ^{f1} only fires f1 not control +f1. I can;t figure it out LOL
Hey Hazefest, it is only allowing me to setup at most 2 actions per hotkey. For example, I setup a string to buff all 3 resists and endurance and it only firing off 2. That goes for anything I am trying to do. I hope that makes sense. Am I missing something?
AHK still follows the same rules as DAoC. In DAoC you can only press two spells before the queue is full. Cast + follow up. If you press three spells with cast timers then it will queue the first two. Exceptions are using one key to first two offensive cast spells and two defensive casts on a single key. Depending on your target it will cast friendly or offensive spells. You can also use two casts with instant spells, face, camera reset, etc. If you can manually press the keys to do what you want then you can make AHK do it for you. Three cast spells on one key press would require a cycle or a delay to cast the third spell. A cycle would allow one key to rotate through qbinds each press. Like a revolver with buffs. If you need that cycle script I’ll post it when I get home. If I forget ping me back.
I noticed all your scripts use function keys like F1, F2, F3. How are you able to have skills on those keys to begin with? Not sure how those are mapped
You can also use insert, PgUp, PgDn, End, Del, Up, Down, Left, Right... basically you want it bound to something that is disabled/doesn't do something in game or while typing, although there is a script to turn off script while typing
The only thing you can't do is /qbind something to the number keys... but you can have your script send whatever you want TO that key or have another key send that number as a part of it's chain. For e.g. I press #1, which has nothing on it, and send, target group member 1, face, stick... so I have my # 1 button to either face or stick the driver automatically... no need to click them
AHK is allowed with limitations on Eden. I stay within those limitations. Therefore not cheating. But I understand why you feel that way. You can still use it for other things besides combat 😀
@@Hazefest Sure, i am not saying that you are doing wrong. And i know its allowed. But at the end of the day it is still automation and therefore OBVIOUSLY cheating in its purest meaning.
