Every time I watch a Bee Gees video, I think of their family. It's so sad that two of them are no longer with us (and Andy), but what a blessing for their family that they have these precious videos to watch. It's also a blessing for all of us. My husband was a country singer, not a star, but he had a beautiful voice and I wish I had more videos of him to watch and listen to.

I never really took to Lulu as a personality, although her voice was very compelling, very mature, and I don't remember hearing her give an under par performance. This item, with her former husband, is very touching; the song is utterly exquisite (like so very many Bee Gees songs) and sung with true, measured understanding by both of them. Even more poignant is the fact that it wasn't long afterwards that he died, completely unexpectedly and far too young. A welcome contribution to UA-cam, thank you.

I have recently in the past weeks, just become aware of their mega stardom of the late 60's-early 70's,pre Saturday Night Fever disco era music.Also discovered Robin's gifted writing and vocal skills which I had previously been unaware of. Now,another surprise,is Maurice. It kills me that the twins weren't equally promoted as Barry.I honestly always believed that Batty was lead vocals and the brothers were just harmony.

18 years ago right now Maurice died (1am Jan 12 2003). It was a twisted intestine they did not detect. It burst, caused a heart attack, and he was on life support. I too am so mad as he and Robin turned 71 on Dec 22, 2020. RIP Maurice, Andy and Robin, sweet brothers.
Not the doctor's fault they only detect what they can when stuff is found. If we as individuals don't get checked for things going on with our bodies or pains/symptoms not usual to our daily lives then that's on us as the individual. Can't be mad or blame doctor's for some things that happen naturally.
It was negligence by the doctors at one time they thought about taking legal action but here in the uk your chances are slim to none .The fact they didnt spot it is on them .

We lost Maurice not long after this but to see him and Lulu on that stage, able to slip into this hand-on-glove as if no time had passed and still have that connection without it being awkward….it does soften the pain a bit…

Yvonne was the best thing that ever happened to Maurice. He said so. Twenty seven years had passed since he was married to Lulu. Their marriage was a mess. All they did was drink. There was not one thing Maurice did to show he still cared ..except for friendship. With Lulu and a few blinks of her eyes, don't make something of love out of that. They were singing a lovely song together, and the nature of those words sucked in the audience and made them feel emotion, juar as many feel who watch the video. Maurice also had a drinking problem in his marriage to Yvonne, and it was causing a rift for a while, but he got it straightened out. He was a great family man.
I agree with Carol Rader. They said it had been 27 years since they sang together. Don’t you think they would have rehearsed a little before the show? Both of them are performers and they knew the audience would go wild if they showed some emotion towards each other which is exactly what the audience did. Maurice was happy with Yvonne and said she was the best that ever happened to him. I do not think Maurice would hurt her by showing undying love for Lulu in front of the whole world. Did not happen!

It was negligence by the doctors at one time they thought about taking legal action but here in the uk your chances are slim to none .The fact they didnt spot it is on them .
@@MARTIN-bd7gm Maurice died in Miami, Florida. Andy died in England as did Robin. It is unfortunate that Maurice’s birth defect was not found sooner, but that is how it happens sometimes.

Yvonne was the best thing that ever happened to Maurice. He said so. Twenty seven years had passed since he was married to Lulu. Their marriage was a mess. All they did was drink. There was not one thing Maurice did to show he still cared ..except for friendship. With Lulu and a few blinks of her eyes, don't make something of love out of that. They were singing a lovely song together, and the nature of those words sucked in the audience and made them feel emotion, juar as many feel who watch the video. Maurice also had a drinking problem in his marriage to Yvonne, and it was causing a rift for a while, but he got it straightened out. He was a great family man.
Divorced people don’t just perform together after the fact without some tangible spark of past love still in them.
I agree with Carol Rader. They said it had been 27 years since they sang together. Don’t you think they would have rehearsed a little before the show? Both of them are performers and they knew the audience would go wild if they showed some emotion towards each other which is exactly what the audience did. Maurice was happy with Yvonne and said she was the best that ever happened to him. I do not think Maurice would hurt her by showing undying love for Lulu in front of the whole world. Did not happen!
