I really love it when Bela and Sam get back together again and play. Saw the Acoustic Tales concert at harvard univ, best musicians these eyes have ever seen in person.

Absolutely too fine!!! Not only the playing, but the vocals were GREAT, exactly what they should have been. I noticed that on this song Jerry Douglas stops playing when he has to sing vocal harmonies!!! :) :)
Mike Auldridge used to this too with the Seldom Scene when he came in with harmony vocals. He'd step to the middle mic and hold the dobro like a regular guitar.

I agree. He is one of those rare talents that is so good and consistent that the music just flows out of him effortlessly. It is a joy to witness it in person. Another one to see live is Chris Thile.
I'll never understand how the hell Sam Bush plays mandolin so accurately and each note individually when it looks like he is strumming it the whole time he is picking. Crazy. When I play mando, my wrist is tight and accurate so my pick doesn't stray to another string accidentally. lol
Oh, little girl of mine in Tennessee You're the only ten I see Did it hurt when you fell down From heaven to the ground 'Cause you're an angel here in Tennessee
You're not the only one who has that wish. They really had something special with that second lineup. Sam, John , Bela and Pat .... they gelled so good then.
Marvelous... at the same time, Feeling guilty at the very moment when Hong Kong people faces Mainland China's horrible legal action taking place at 全人代, where 2nd Mao Zse Dong taking firm grip on 一路一体 policy.
The only thing missing is Tony Rice. Bela, Sam, and Jerry are the best. We miss you Tony.
Jerry, Sam and Bela been playing together for a long time. You can tell they still love to.
Jerry Douglas not only is the best dobro player in history, but does one heck of a job doing high harmony here!
I wish I could like this again every time I come back to watch it.
Beautiful sharing dear friend thank you so much for nice sharing God bless you with great success ❤️❤️❤️❤️
0:08 the best trumpet tone I have ever heard.
I wasn’t looking at the screen at legit thought someone passed gas😂😂😂
Sam Bush and his band just played this as the encore to their Knoxville show and it was fantastic!
Woah....Jerry Douglas singing harmony. Nice!!!
Bela's smile at the beginning just shows how much he loves the music
Absolutely!!!
Dang, that's just fantastic! Jerry Douglas, you are truly in a class of 1.
Theres noone like Sam to pick up rythm and beat to make a good song perfect.
Swedish fan
Watching you for years, you inspire me at every turn!
Seriously, if these guys kept practicing, they might have a real future in the music business.
+ken barr lolol
+lightontheleaves double lol
One of my favourite comments about geniuses!
You know something, you might be right! With a little practice of course.
😃🙏🙏🙏🙏

Their New Grass Revival was ground breaking.
Jerry Douglas ain't no slouch on the dobro either 😎
@@bluegrallis amen brother
It just doesn't get any better than this.

Missing Stewart Duncan and Barry Bales He Heh
@Robert Steuer
Oops, you're right!
And, now add Micheal Cleveland and Billy Strings too!
John Doyle's grin at the end is fantastic.
You know what they say, when Irish eyes are smiling. He is such a fantastic guitarist.
Didn't know Sam Bush had such a gr8 voice or Jerry Douglas
You don’t see Mr Douglas sing that often. Looks like they are having a blast

@@sambush5423 I don't think you are Sam Bush though I would like to be wrong
Oh wow.......what amazing talent in that room.
Absolutely too fine!!! Not only the playing, but the vocals were GREAT, exactly what they should have been. I noticed that on this song Jerry Douglas stops playing when he has to sing vocal harmonies!!! :) :)
By stopping to sing prior to doing his solo, the solo "pops" more.

Most all stop, hard to do both.
Thank you Jerry! Sam is a favorite of mine, always.

Absoluteley GREAT !!!!!!!
Funny enough, this song has helped me focus and study idk why. I think it’s the constant motion.
Sam Bush=Superman.
Hot damn!!! This is 🔥
Love this
Sam Bush is one of A kind on the Mando Watched him slot when played for Emmet Lou Harris
Can't beat Sam Bush. I don't know if there's anyone else I enjoy live better than him.

@@6gentex Yes, both are excellent. Can't wait for festival to start up again.
And he seems to have such a wonderful, positive outlook! Some of his songs actually could be out of a mountain self-help book.
Love that Scruggs back up rhythm.
Imagine if we had people like these guys running the world instead of the numpties we have now!!
Seriously? Musicians are some of the dumbest people alive. Most have zero education. They have talent, not brains.
@@billbeecher3080 thanks a lot
DANNY "PENTANGLE" THOMPSON belongs here among the best of the best. Great BASSIST INDEED!
Always a great player. Enhanced any group he played in,
Just so good....Geez.....Jack Baker NYC p.s. Hi Bela....Jack
Love that mandolin player?
❤ - Nothing more to say
Xtrey good ❤
That ending triplet at 3:15 by Sam!
I love this song. Sam is kind of cute.
Classic !
Yup!
Irreplaceable music. .unmatchable also
Hey You think so , absolutely think you might be right , does sounds good maybe we got to give them a chance

that's the Bill Munroe style.
Sam always says it's in the looseness of the wrist!
It's actually also classical style. If you look at people playing stuff like vivaldi it's all from the elbow
Michael Cleavland is the same way! Baffling !!
Because he damps with his right hand like no other. Wrist goes wild palm pays the bills.
Oh, little girl of mine in Tennessee
You're the only ten I see
Did it hurt when you fell down
From heaven to the ground
'Cause you're an angel here in Tennessee
All they need is Tony Rice and Mark O'Connor and the band would be back together
I didn't know Sam could sing. Great job!
Really? Wow. Yes he has a fine voice - great at singing harmony also. A swiss army knife of bluegrass!
Face melting!
HÄRLIGT
Pardon the phrase, but that was metal as fuck.
Ole Sam works hard
Чудесно! 08.04.21. Москва.
Who's the bass and fiddle player? Everyone always sleeping on the rhythm section.. lol
i do wish the NGR would do a reunion with bela
You're not the only one who has that wish. They really had something special with that second lineup. Sam, John , Bela and Pat .... they gelled so good then.
Just missing Tony.
Obviously, not a single deslike.
who are the rest of the musicians?
John Doyle on guitar, John McCusker on fiddle and Danny Thompson on bass

Needs a G run or 2.
Just isn't Bluegrass without a G run! Just sayin!
Everyone not from America thinks this is Bluegrass...until they hear pickers who frequent Galax, SPBGMA, etc 😁
Now you only need Billy strings on acoustic guitar and you would have the Biggest super group of all time.
Who’s on guitar? They need to get a thicker pick. All I hear is that thin, celluloid pick noise lol
What.
No Martin guitar..its not bluegrass..whats up..needs a herringbone.or else..rj
randy jones Only if it's a D35. 28s are muddy.
