Sans, he understands the fact, that this whole thing - is useless in the end, due to the power of determination. He never asked to have this ability to remember, but a bug/glitch occured, and now - he remembers. He did try everything that he could, and, nothing worked (those 300+ resets). And, even if his own genocide - is meaningless, it still has the highest chance of stopping "the human" (player, in Dusttale)
