My parents never allowed me to get a job when I was in high school because they didn’t want me choosing money rather than education.
Me too but I ignored them and still went against them and I quickly regretted it 😢
No the thing is that what is school for to get educated and get a good job it’s better to learn as a young one how life is it helps kids become responsible
I had a job while I was in high school and I did night school bc I came from Mx and they didn’t count my credits but I still focused in school and graduated with honors.
I didn't v want me kids getting jobs while in HS. they both did amyways, my daughter was class President, Cheerleader, Top 10, won awards. Super proud of her. My son is still in school & I saw him come out if his shell. It does help out too.
I went to school and had a part time job. I still graduated with honors from High school and then went to college

My brother was the same way and now at 21 he realized he made a mistake. There are some conversations that we have sometimes where he can't really get into bc he lacks a lot of education and knowledge. He is finally going to get his GED and seek out further education❤

The whole high school portion of this podcast bothered me. Teens watch/listen to this and think it’s okay. Her HS needs to be investigated. People don’t follow her foot steps. At least get your high school diploma. If this is the youth of the future, millennials we’re screwed.
Absolutely!! As someone who missed a whole quarter of my senior year due to mental issues I regret not putting my all into school. There are people out here who don’t have the opportunity to go to school and get an education like our parents who came here from different countries to give us a better life & for you to throw away your opportunity is crazy. The least you can do is get your GED now but obviously to each there own if they don’t want better for themselves pues cada quien. Schools can only do so much for you, you have to put in the work too.

To those in high-school watching this and considering dropping out of school, please reconsider. Not obtaining a high school diploma is not something to be proud of. As Latinos, it's crucial that we set high expectations for ourselves, not only for our own future but for the generations to come. Not wanting to pursue higher education, totally understandable! But like she said her high school tried helping everyone. I have no ill feelings towards this individual, but seeing someone not taking advantage of the opportunities available is truly disheartening.

This is disheartening. Didn’t even graduate but this is who girls look up to? Why is it everyone’s else’s fault she didn’t graduate? She literally said she went 3 times.. and is saying there’s no reason for you to not graduate if you go to that school… so sad about her response to her father.
She literally said that it was no one’s fault but hers because she didn’t put her part… and she even says that school IS important. Like yeah having those resources and opportunities and not taking advantage of them is pretty damn dumb, but we’re only human. We unfortunately and fortunately enough, learn from our mistakes.(most times) Plus just because someone has social media attention doesn’t mean that other girls or boys NEED to follow their steps, that’s really up to the individual themselves because not everyone is a “good” influencer

I had to go to summer school and ended up graduating late august 🤣 I’m glad I pushed myself but yes I had many absences I’m here to tell you it’s not worth it in the end! I love itatis podcast, but I feel like sharing jujus story about not caring or graduating high school isn’t good to promote for students who already have these thoughts or ideas. I work as a sub at a school and I see this everyday and it’s not okay that students don’t care that they aren’t learning or possibly think that they’re going to give up and drop out one day. I give my flowers to Juju for becoming successful in the influencer world, but not every kid is going to go out and become an influencer. Jobs now days require a high school diploma and in order to go to college, you need a high school diploma… so please don’t promote this and encourage others to continue going to school because not everyone is going to have a fortunate ending like you.

Like for instance, me I was a manager for a multiple sports, ad were in clubs and still passed. So, no she was just lazy.
