Hahaha, why am I not surprised you would notice the "photo frame"? Some tourists asked if I would take their picture for them, so I did. I should've vlogged it.
Yes it was! On the way back from Mouse's Tank the Bighorn Sheep moved towards the Trailhead, but some idiot visitors decided to climb the rocks and get a closer look, and scared it away.
Oh wow, so many spots that I didn't see when I went for an afternoon. I did NOT like walking through that sand, it was tough. My water bottle is still in your car, you could have used that😂 I would love to go back and checkout that fire wave. After putting up your graphic of an atlatl, I still didn't know what it was😆😆😆 Great cinematography on this one🔥🔥🔥
Thanks Brother 💪🏽. Actually, I had two liters of water in my car, and your water bottle is washed and on my counter at home 😁 Not sure what happened to the footage, where I describe the Atlatl 🤦🏽♂️
@@LasVegasandBeyond Oh really?! 🙏🏻😊🍀 thank you so much! i wish i would be able to come visit in 2022! red rock & valley of fire are my favorite happy places ♥️🙏🏻
Why even go.... You did all the hard work for me. No hiking for me !! Thank you for all the beautiful shots you got. Honestly such a enjoyable video. Thank you
I hope you enjoyed this Valley of Fire version over the previous 3 minute vlog. Please leave me a comment if you’ve been to the Valley of Fire and which Trails I should hike, just not anything too difficult 😁.
Bring water and a pen 😄. I got to try that Elephant trail. Great picnic place at 4:50. Balancing rock....whoa. I remember those petroglyphs. Wow mouse's tank has water. The firewave trail is super scenic and worth it for me, definitely don't do that one in the summer. Awesome day trip brotha.
We've been waiting to watch this one on the TV together as we know it would look best on here 👍 So beautiful, we can't wait to explore here sometime! Your videos are always movie like quality Alan 💙
Beautiful and easily accessible. We've never ventured outside of downtown when vacationing in Las Vegas. I'd guess it would be a little warm there in August, which is when we usually visit. Thanks for showing us around and glad you didn't lose the GoPro!
We go every year in August and it is hot but we have taken many drives outside of Vegas. We just don't do any hiking. Mt. Charleston which is cooler than Vegas, RedRock canyon, Mesquite, Zion National park, Laughlin, Primm, and Pahrump.
Sporting the new Goatee!! Awesome! I love Valley of Fire, so I am anxious to watch this! All Trails is cool, and I use it, but have not been hiking too much lately. Great cinematography, as always throughout. Loved the Mouse's Tank. So cool. Great sighting of the Bighorn sheep and petroglyphs. OMG! I know exactly how you felt. When I was at Petrified Forest, I sat down my GoPro on a tripod to video myself walking, and then when I came back I took a different route. it took me 15 minutes to find my camera, and man I was panicking! But, alas I did find it, and I had to just sit down for a few minutes just to settle down. Tina and I loved going to the Fire Waves. We had the place almost to ourselves, because it was 108 degrees when we went. Nice video.
As the hair on top thins, I need to balance it out 🤣. Unfortunately, being Asian, my facial hair is pretty sparse, too. I asked Rodney if he remembered me putting away the GoPro and he didn't, so I was definitely hiking back quickly. I couldn't imagine going to Valley of Fire during the Summer, it's way too hot and bright.
13:12 me too! I wonder if they have any info on how the formations were named. You provided great info on the naming of Mouse's Tank and some of the other names are obvious. Others, not so much.
I'm sure I had them all in my Notes, on my phone, but forgot to mention the reason why they were named as such. I get way too involved in making my footage look nice and forget to talk.
Fantastic video. I'm not surprised you carry 16 pounds of equipment considering the quality of your work. One just doesn't get to that level with a phone. Valley Of Fire is such an awesome place. We've been to The Fire Wave a few times. Most recently was a full moon hike sponsored by a park ranger, which is the only time you can legally hike I'm the park after dusk. Being there under a full moon is just surreal. Great work & thank you for showing all the sights to see.
I had a couple liters of water in the car, but sacrificed it for gear 😂. It is really breathtaking and vast. As always, thank you for your support, Tricia 🙏🏽
It's nice that they have restrooms and picnic areas in several locations. I wonder if the restrooms are always open or just during the visitor center hours.
The restrooms I showed were open, even after the Visitor Center was Closed, however the Restrooms behind the Visitor Center followed the Center's hours.
If you don't feel like hiking through that fine red sand, I think Elephant Rock, The Beehives, Atlatl Rock, The Cabins, the Visitor Center, Seven Sisters and Lone Rock are easy stops.
Beautiful and easily accessible. We've never ventured outside of downtown when vacationing in Las Vegas. I'd guess it would be a little warm there in August, which is when we usually visit. Thanks for showing us around and glad you didn't lose the GoPro!
Hi @Kids15. August would not be a good time to head out to Valley of Fire. I would definitely avoid the Summer Months. There’s always Red Rock Canyon on the west side of the Vegas Valley. it’s not as grand as VoF, but it’s pretty. Thank you for watching and commenting, I appreciate it
Ive only been once, would definitely go back.
The weather is perfect, right now,.
Beautiful shots! I like the frame photo op by the parking lot. Woah 16 pounds of gear instead of water? Lol 😂 Alan!

Just to think, I left out a bunch, too, but this video was getting looooonggg!!!
Amazing B&W photos of Seven Sisters. Those are definitely wall-worthy. They'd look great in your house.
I was thinking about blowing them up and hanging them.
It's amazing you caught a wedding and wildlife on the same trip!

🧡 Wauw Alan, what a beautiful video. And (0020) Thank you so much🙏, see you in 24 days 😉 (Ofcourse shared in the Scandinavian community) 🧡
Thanks TJ, I had to go back and do a real vlog as Valley of Fire is definitely worth a "day trip" away from The Strip, or Downtown.

The annual entry permit seems pretty reasonable. And if you were just a bit older, the senior discount is substantial!
I agree! It stinks that I have to wait 6 more years to be eligible.
So many cool places there. 👍🙂
Yes indeed! I missed at least 3 other spots, too. Just ran out of daylight.

No, you're the Best!!! I just watched your "Revisit" and loved it, especially the Bighorn Sheep herds. However, that Sandy Terrain was not fun.

Rodney is a man of few words. Lol!

Look at you growing a goatee! I like it. What does Teresa think?
She likes it, but I can only tolerate it for two weeks. It's way too sparse.
Can you hike between the locations or is it necessary to drive to each one?
Yes, there are some trails that connect with one another, but some do require driving, especially if you're pressed for time.
Yeah I definitely need to come back and stop at the Valley of Fire instead of drive thru it.
If you don't feel like hiking through that fine red sand, I think Elephant Rock, The Beehives, Atlatl Rock, The Cabins, the Visitor Center, Seven Sisters and Lone Rock are easy stops.

Right!?! That's what happens when you carry way too much gear for vlogging.
First thing, what's up with this facial hair. 😏 Next I like the new intro. K back to watching.
