I was initially underwhelmed with the presentation for sure. Then I started thinking about how underwhelmed I was with the 15 pro announcement until I started using the phone with the new titanium and other features and realized that while some of these announcements and feature adds seem small, once you start using them and see how great apple perfects this stuff in day to day use, it will change your mind. On paper they may seem small but in practical use as a film maker and HEAVY user, I see these as welcomed additions.
@@DavidLewisTech Exactly! Apple's build quality and long-term software support for older devices definitely lead to fewer upgrades compared to other companies. Last year, they had their hands full simply encouraging the reluctant 51% of Mac users to transition from Intel chips to the M series.
I recall writing about that point Sharon - when Apple silicon and the M1 chips came out they effectively shot themselves in the foot. The need to upgrade is almost non-existent now. The same is true of iPhones now too
Smart phones and tablets are now mature technology. They really are just now adding gimmicky features that few even think to ask for to make us think they’re advancing. These devices rarely change much year-to-year. It’s incremental. I often say these devices can do a million things you will likely never use, but as long as they do the half dozen things you need then you’re happy. I was perfectly happy with an iPhone 8+ for five years. Now I’m into my second year with a basic iPhone 14 and I’m very satisfied with it. It will probably be easily two to three years before I think of upgrading. It’s all going to be hype until, or if, something comes along that significantly changes how we use these devices.
You've made some points that I was thinking about making a video about actually. Namely the amount we have on our phones that we will never use... Great comment - thank you
I think maybe we became accustomed to rapid change and advancement in technology for decades such that when/if we don’t see something “amazing” and revolutionary every year or so we think something is wrong. The smartphone has been scienced out. What changes can you make beyond fiddling with colours, minor design elements and adding ever more unneeded features?
Speak for yourself. I'm coming from older devices so I'm very excited about getting the 16 Pro and Watch Series 10. All the little upgrades over the years equal a big change for me!
We are at a place where all the major players could do a S year with a full refresh every other year. Don't get me wrong the 2010s were fun and every year there were massive leaps in technology and it was great That's just not the case anymore.
I preordered the 1TB iPhone 16 Pro Max (desert titanium) and the Apple Watch series 10 with in silver the blue denim band. That’s disappointing that you have to wait until October for your 16 Pro Max. I’m gonna be honest I think Apple is definitely got a A lot of problems and I feel this whole Apple Intelligence is basically Apple reacting to the latest trend of going towards AI. I think it was a mistake did not have at least Apple intelligence ready in beta but as you said it was literally the Apple had no choice and Apple I ruled by the shareholders so they had to release a new iPhone.
I purchased the iPhone 16 Pro Max 1tb. Planned on trading in my 15 Pro Max 1tb but the value they offered is only $550. With that little I’ll probably keep it and give it to a loved one or sell it outright.
I changed the battery on my iPhone 13 Pro at the Apple Store once I heard the delays of AI features and waiting for smarter Siri in 2025 might as well wait for iPhone 17 Pro. Plus, I am already using chatGPT and Microsoft Copilot Pro subscriptions on all my devices. This how I decided to play it this year.
We are, in many ways reaching almost a plateau in consumer tech. The Apple silicon M1 is still good enough to do effectively everything the consumer needs, until 8k vide becomes the norm. I don’t follow Android devices but i sense there improvements are more incremental than they once were. Modern smart phones can communicate, take photos, make videos, search the web, be use for writing, controlling homes/cars, now AI tasks, plus others. Until they can do the washing up/load the dishwasher or some other novel function, the improvements per model will be small. apple products are als very reliable and last for a while, so people do not need to update…
I agree with pretty much everything you say. I am skipping the 16 series this year because the only thing I am interested in is Apple Intelligence and my 15 Pro Max will be getting that. Apple's keynote should have been a press release and also they really should have made a bit more of the fact that it was the 10th generation of the Apple Watch
I think you’ve summed it up nicely and why I think this lack of innovation, and to reduce the number phones going to landfill each year, Apple should go to a bi-annual release of new phones. The same is true for Google and Samsung too.
Apple is approaching from a more intelligent way. They are never going to go to a bi-annual, forget that. Instead they are making their products carbon neutral, building better robotics to recycle the valuable metals in the devises. Their goal on metals is to not use any newly mined ores, but recycle everything. They just purchased a French company that does the recycling robotics better than anyone in the world. They even concentrate on the service side of the business. They are the only company in the world doing AI in data centers that run on renewable energy. Every other AI company in the world is going to be paying through the nose for crazy expensive electricity. The electric utilities are licking their chops and ready to gouge the hell out of the tech companies.
I’m underwhelmed with the 16 Pro Max coming from the 13 Pro Max. Are you getting the Apple Vision Pro? The AirPods 4 don’t have MagSafe charging. Only Apple Watch puck and Qi
I had a demo on the Vision Pro and it blew me away, but I won't be buying one just yet. I have a pair of AirPods 4 without ANC coming to give my thoughts on design, comfort, fit and sound. I also have a pair of AirPods Max coming so I can tell you how good the USBC port is 🤣
I actually like the upgrades on the iphone 16 and 16 plus, they are actually pretty big upgrades and I would buy it in a heartbeat if it even had a 90Hz display, but I still go for the 16 pro max at least 512gb, the smaller one doesn't cover my needs, but I won't buy it right now I guess, I listen and watch your videos first. Thank you for the video!
Great video. I don’t think Apple is in trouble anymore since the market seems afraid of a bubble and calmed down about AI. The WWDC event averages 5 million live views, while the iPhone launch gets around 13 million, as it attracts more non-enthusiasts. Apple is also aware of the iPhone upgrade cycle: 34% upgrade after 3-4 years, 31% after two years or less, and fewer upgrade annually. I’ve even seen comments from people replacing their iPhone 8! Apple’s iPhone event might have been targeted at the 90% upgrading to this year’s iPhone 16 lineup. Those viewers probably didn’t notice anything strange about the presentation .
Hi, there Sharon. I do feel because we are so close to the heat we read far more into these things than the average person might do. These phones and Macs are so well made, fast and competent, that for Apple to try and convince more to trade up regularly is going to be a tough fight to win
No I think you pretty much summed it up correctly there wasn't a whole lot for them to talk about so they talked about the camera button I'm sure the iPhone 16 and the iPhone 16 pro are gonna be really good phones but unless you've got something older than an iPhone 12 there's really not a reason to upgrade
Are you thinking of keeping the AirPods Max USB-C ? Or only reviewing and returning them ? I’don’t now…. I waited so many time the new model and at the end they are the same of the last 4 years. Do you advise me them ? Or do i have to wait other 4 years for AirPods Max 2 ? Hahhaa
@@MarcoBeSomething Right, SE3. My bad. Yes, it wouldn’t be much of a special thing in plastic, but probably good value. I was being a smart-ass commenting on the semantics of “10th anniversary.”😆 Technically, if new models of a product are released each year, then the 11th model would come out on the 10th anniversary. 🤷🏻♂️
@MarcoBeSomething 👍My stainless steel Series 4 still looks great, and the battery still gets me by for an average day, but I'm ready to move to the Series 10. I'll take my chances with aluminum this time.
@@DavidLewisTech My feelings is that they got comfortable. Siri have been out and advertised as an intelligent assistant for a while now with minimal improvements and with the release of AI (LLM, Images and more) it feels like they are just starting and trying to relay in others technology (at least in this early stage). They might be working on their own models (probably thats why the delay) but the question is, when did they started to work on it? I know, I know we have high expectations, however we are paying premium, so is the price they have to pay for their own success.
I agree with what you are saying, but I have this nagging thought, that when this all plays out, Apple will be the winner. They will nail it and give us meaningful AI tools...just a gut feeling...
I was going to order a 16 pro max to upgrade for my 15 pro max, mostly for the extra battery life that I would surly want with AI. However, since non of the AI is going to be available for a while, I’m going to skip the upgrade this year. I’ll wait until next year when we have all the features (presumably) and save some cash. Can’t wait to see yours in action though. Great video, thanks, David!
Hi Josh - I think you are making the right choice. Apple Intelligence is clearly going to come to us in a drip-drip fashion over the coming year. This makes waiting for the 17, with an even faster chip and even better battery life more tempting
I was a big apple fan but fell out of love with it earlier this year to the point where I have replaced my whole eco system to samsung. My phone upgrade this year i chose the z fold 6 and i couldn't be happier. Apple will have to do something really special for me to thing about going back to them.
I think you should have given Google a try with the Pixel as I prefer Google’s software, which for me represents what Android should be, if in the unlikely that I leave my beloved iPhone, i would choose Google, they make Android and have the closest ecosystem to Apple as they make the hardware and software now and the Pixel 9 Pro is the beginning of a new era for Pixel.
I actually went from iPhone 14 pro max to Google pixel to the fold 6. I now use my Google pixel as my work phone. I like both just prefer samsung for my personal phone.
Hi there - sadly you are not alone in deciding to make the switch. My last few videos have had loads of comments like yours. Apple needs to listen. I hope you carry on enjoying your Fold 6! Great choice I understand...
It's a fantastic phone I recommend trying one out if you get the chance. I wasn't sure if I would use the inner screen that much but it's fantastic for multi tasking and media consumption.
I very briefly owned the Flip 5 - you'll find some old videos on from the summer of last year about it on the channel. I didn't take to it...but both my podcast hosts adore the Fold 6s...it could well be the way of the future
I'm so disappointed in this years Pro Max that I refuse to upgrade for a camera button. It's a disgrace, and Apple should be ashamed. Especially since they make so much money. I hope sales are so low, so low they realize we won't wanna put up with this crap.
Another interesting vid Mr L and as per my previous comment, nowhere near enough ‘improvements’ on the 16 to make me forgo my 15. So, I’ll wait for the 17…or possibly the new SE in early 2025 when it is released!
Not to even mention us living in EU, nobody knows if we ever will get Apple AI... And yet still, I ordered iPhone 16 Pro Max as European... because I can't stand that Apple lightning port in my iPhone 13 Pro Max, I need that fast USB-C
@@DavidLewisTech Absolutely amazing, I don’t have to bend over for iCloud, instead I can use my many TB of own storage on my pc and I can finally easily use and transfer my iPhone data in to my desktop Windows 11 where I mainly do everything!
I think your views on iPhone 16 are possibly coloured by the fact that you have an iPhone 15 +. There will be many out there considering whether to upgrade from their iPhone 14+ and earlier for whom the iPhone 16 might be a good upgrade and your comments on this would be well received!
Great video. This is the first time that I do not upgrade yoy. Usually there's a reason that compels me to upgrade. Not this year . My 15 pro max has all that i need and of course, it will have ios18 and apple intelligence,( when it gets here) .There is no way that the 16 was built "ground up" for Apple intelligence if my current phone, with the A 17pro chip, will be able to use it. I could care less about the capture button . That being said, the 17 should be a hell of an upgrade because this one stinks.
I believe the most exciting parts of the iPhone 16s are more software related, yes personally i am somewhat excited about the capture button, as i use my phone as a camera. I no longer bring an actual camera around. The software side of things, yes we could easily be both excited and slightly annoyed that these features took so long to come to ISO. But being able to finally have more control of the product we buy is great. Being able to customise the home screen , Lock Screen, widgets, control centre and fantastic. But as someone that’s used different Android phones, it does feel very late! But all in all the capture button and customisable is fantastic. We are very much is a state of Mobile technology being mature as I read another comment, so smaller changes are expected and this is a very true statement.. But we cant help but feel a bit “ cheated” / Rushed like you said, there definitely could have been at least 2 things on even just the Pro / Pro Max series that would have made a pretty substantial difference to me and others reading comments. Pros to have 12gb Ram, All three rear cameras 48mp. This would have been a very Nice move , then next year upgrade the selfie ext. But it was very much a planned thing to have for next year to have as a selling point, we can see/ predict it already. I believe the fact this is slightly more frustrating is that the competition already are doing/ moving direction this with their Pro / Ultras. Google 9Pro XL for example 24mp Selfie, 3x rear cameras are 48mp or more and 16gb ram to assist with LLM/ AI onboard. Look all in all, for someone coming from at lest 3-4 gens back will be pretty happy. But the IOS18 should have been ready for a day one shipping and at lest like you said the new Siri. It’s hard to say exactly, as these are still nice upgrades overall. But ask you self this, did they at lest attempt to put the best / better available hardware , or deliberately leave some out as a fail safe for the following generation. I just feel that having 12gb ram and all cameras upgraded would have went a HUGE way for me personally, especially since there is a “capture button’ blending the lines /worlds on professional camera and mobile camera. Personally i am waiting for the iPhone 17 Pro, i was planning to get this till i found out about the ram and cameras, i use a telephoto a lot, so for me i wanted that more that the wide angle.
I do very much get the feeling of lack of innovation / taking very safe calculated boring iterations though. Like i said there ARE still very nice upgrades, but is anything new?, something the competition isn’t doing? Or better than the competition. It’s hard to completely say now prior to release.
Hi there - I've just read through both your comments, and firstly, thank you for taking the time to get involved. You make some great points, and I wonder if you are on to something. Possibly they did have some other hardware upgrades they could have given us this year, but thought better of it and kept them in their back pocket for next year... Interesting thoughts....
What probably they are trying to sell and we are missing is the experience, the experience you get when AI will automate your life with your phone and “all the apple ecosystem” but since they are in the game of control and restrictions, a seamless experience is what they are lacking when you want to use your phone and iPad for job related tasks in comparison with their competitors. They are interested in milking money out of their users instead of innovation. (Wall charger sold separately, no backwards compatibility in iPad accessories, software limitations for you to upgrade to the latest product). At least is my perception of their business model and we are trapped in an old promise from the founder who is not around anymore.
I have waited 3 years for a new phone. I normally change after a ‘missed’ year. I.e. After every 2nd release. I thought long and hard about the 16 PM, which I ordered & which is expected to be delivered between 20 > 25 September. Why did I decide to go ahead? Well, I think the jump from the 13P to the 16PM makes it worthwhile. There are enough differences to make it a good move ………. For me. Plus, I take a lot of photos & decided the new control ‘bar’ was looking useful to me. Now, I agree that there are promises still on the table, not least with Siri / Apple Intelligence, but I just cannot see them not being delivered. If that happened, then there would be an Apple Wall Street crash & the virtual end of the company as we know it. Apple cannot afford (literally) to let that happen ……….. so self-preservation will make sure that these promises will happen ……….. and, in my view, before the iPhone 17 is released.
The annual Apple event has always been the MUST event. The public anxiously awaits the NEW and since Apple has pivoted to trying to figure out how they are going to do intelligence, they have turned away from capturing the publics WOW. I agree, all of this could have and should have been a press release but as you said, it would have been a great money revenue loss. Thus they turned on the cameras and wrote some scripts and had the players spew recycled information. The 15 pro and pro max will be able to utilize whatever intelligence that emerges, so then where is the WOW in the new phone? Then we turn to the watch, which really is the only slightly re-worked item. The base or just the 10 did bump up its game. Bigger screen, lighter and thinner BUT the grand master, the watch that was the MUST HAVE two, yes two years ago has seen practically zero evolution. Surely there could have been an "Ultra" software version at least. Something to get the public to buy into the basically two year, now three year old watch. Thus, is Apple now caught up in the dilemma of having to abide by various countries standards, and thus having to basically dumb down all the devices so that the devices can conform to the different markets? Privacy is Apple, EXCEPT, it really isn't because of what they had to work with in the EU. I, like you, constantly am drinking the Apple juice and am so deeply invested that there is no alternative for me unless I win the lottery and can afford to replace all the devices. The IPhone 17 rumors claim innovation, but how radical will that be?
Hi, there Peter, thanks for this comment - lots in there. I'm not for a moment saying I'm not going to enjoy finding out about the 17, but I do feel it's lacking innovation, but possibly that will all change when I get my hands on it...
Nice analysis. Buying into a promise - hmmm, Vision Pro! I think Apple knows what it’s doing, though, I think they have been caught on the back foot with AI. Honestly, the hardware upgrades for years have been iterative. I’ve been swapping out my phone for years as with mixing up trade in’s, passing down to my family, while salary sacrificing it makes sense. The elephant in the room here is Apple Intelligence which I think the UK and Australia will get in December. For me, this is not something to get too excited about until it ships. Overall, Apples strength is its ecosystem and its tight integration there. This bound to their growing service sector. The new hardware continues to integrate this and make it an even better proposition. No, Apple has not lost its way. Oh, AirPods Max, still makes me giggle. Frankly, they still sound amazing and have awesome Spatial Audio and transparency plus noise cancellation. Missing the H2 seems bad but then the cynic in me thinks that’s on purpose as they also want you to buy AirPod Pro’s. I think they see the Max headphones as being for the remote worker who also wants to watch immersive movie content. They are also not wanting to be interrupted by people talking in the room unless they have transparency mode on. Whereas the AirPods Pro will be the on the move, for runners, cyclists (though I would never cycle with music blaring).
They are playing it safe. Compare the Airpods Max with the competition and they are staying behind. Airpods Pro, look at what you can do with sony earbuds. Phones, look at what just Huawei launched or Samsungs phones. They are not leading, they are just trying to do enough to keep their user base satisfied to certain point (in my opinion). Apple with their “Apple Intelligence” aka Siri, is just sad, they stepped up too late in the game because their focus was to do the enough amount of upgrades to keep selling a new product every year. The world is changing and they have been obligated to change with it (usb-c, ai,dock mode,+). I hope things change soon, because they have all the potential to become a better/mature version of itself.
@@Carlos_Vasquez I partly agree. While Samsung make great phones, their ecosystem as a whole is not as good. The AirPods Max still hold up pretty well against the competition in some key areas and for me at the centre of it all is the Mac, which simply is much better than the competition. I pick and mix their services, but together they bind it. I do agree thought that in some areas they need to step up. I think they need to make foldable. AI at this stage is still in its infancy, and even Google haven’t figured it out properly yet. Samsung AI is a big meh so I think they have some wiggle room. If they can emphasise security and privacy it could be pretty good.
@@NeilLavitt Yes! Their key point is the ecosystem, they have to do some minor improvements to step ahead. First, compatibility since this is not about positioning the brand anymore, is about experience. Second, an extensive redesign of iPad OS so it can have clear differences from iOS (ex. iPhone 16 Pro lineup could have been shown as a productivity device with its “new chip” that can transform iOS into iPad OS when connected to a monitor. That way its “revolutionary” again). Third, the watch OS/app’s functionality something is missing. 4th, Stage Manager it still crashes, not all apps go full screen and haven’t beed address in the iOS 18 update. And so many other details that are small but keep stacking up. Still, I agree that Apple products are great and know what they are doing as a business. I have to upgrade my iPhone so Im one of those who will be buying the 16 model
@@Carlos_Vasquez agreed, though, I have given up on iPad being any more than what it is. I work in education and iPads are a nightmare still to manage in flexible school environments. Such that it’s simply easier to set them up as devices to be used by all with no login. When compared with Chromebooks, the chasm is massive. I have a theory that perversely Apple thinks it’s multitasking iPad environment is Vision OS! I agree that Stage Manager is so poor, though dig a little deeper with Dex and you see how limited it really is for doing real productive work.
hi, guys - I have no problem with Apple being more conservative in their approach, in fact, I'd rather that. But it's the way they cannot drop Apple Intelligence in one hit that surprises me. This is Apple's major release of the year and it's being released with crucial ingredients missing... Good chat going on here lads 👊🏻
Brown? Hmm. Each to their own. To be fair, you are an artist, so maybe you're right. Airpods Pro Max? Surprised. Literally nobody should buy these, it's the same ancient design with just a USB-C connector and no price drop. Insulting really. But I think the iPhone changes are very significant. Base model iPhone 16 gets the latest gen silicon (a massive jump). It's got the 3nm chip based on the same fab as M4, including much better GPUs, 8GB RAM, NPUs. There are camera upgrades. And the base model now gets the action button and the camera button. If it works well the camera button really is proper old fashioned Apple innovation. Now, the Pro Max is the smallest jump year to year, but the smaller Pro now gets the 5x zoom, which is massive. So no, I think you're being rather grumpy to be honest, most of the iPhones, especially base model, are getting good improvements. And if they actually make Siri useful, well that's just a massive cherry on the top. They do have to launch iPhone in Sept due to markets, that's true, but I don't think the hardware is compromised. It's missing lots of the new software features to complete the overall package, and if you just want the new features then you can choose to buy your iPhone in the New Year maybe...
I don't think it would've been a good idea to put the new Siri UI in with the current software backing it … the new Siri _requires_ the new edge AI to handle better contextual awareness, and you don't want the new UI with the old Siri because Apple _doesn't_ want to hear: "Oh … you've got the new Siri." "Yeah, but it's no better than the old one." I'm a patient guy _and_ a stockholder, and I don't want to see half-baked features sent out in the world. I want to see them introduced via software update _when they're ready for prime time_ - that's what distinguishes Apple from the other players. Apple doesn't just throw features on the wall to see what sticks - they're very deliberate with their introductions because you can only deliver a first impression once. That's why Scott Forrestal had to leave when Apple Maps was such a disaster and he refused to apologize - Apple doesn't do half-baked. Now when introduced Apple Intelligence wil be beta - which cuts them _some_ slack - but you can be darn sure it'll be at least usable and as close as they can get it without extensive field testing. As for the improvements? I think they're probably as good as iPhone 15's were - and probably better. _Everyone_ gets the new remicroarchitected A18 SoC and the new Camera Control and the longer lasting shielded batteries and the new better thermal management. And of course eventually the new Apple Intelligence. And if you don't get _that,_ look askance at your government.
the comments on this thread are so well put - I love it. There is something to learn from reading them, including yours. I do agree that in the long run, Apple rarely gets it wrong. Due to meticulous planning, everything always ends up working out well. It's happened time and time again - it's no mistake...
It's a shame that you have succumbed to the usual UA-camr trope of using only negative title for videos in regards to popular products like the iPhone. You all seem to live in your own little bubble and don't seem to understand the real world where people are going 2 or 3 years between upgrades so all the little upgrades and tweaks add up to an overall much better smartphone experience when changing phones. I know negativity entices humans more than positivity and that's just how our psyche works and you want views, but it is a shame to see all these negative videos when I am super excited to upgrade my phone and watch.
I'm not really worried. It's a mature product line just like the competition. I think everyone's updates aren't earth shattering of late.
yup - and even the new features that are being shown by Google & Samsung aren't ones I want or would use. Less is more
Skipping this year, not enough to warrant an upgrade from the 15PM, so just ordered the AirPods 4 with ANC,
So if the iPhone 16 were to be released this December, would you also say it's 'a huge mistake by Apple'?
Fantastic analysis 👏
Thank you - I like to try and have a measured intelligent conversation with like-minded folks 🙏🏻
Im excited i ordered the 16 promax...a tiny bit bigger i love it for reading and videos
even though they are minor changes, I'm looking forward to finding out all about it for you
I’m waiting to see more about the macro features
I am looking forward to playing with that too
Can you let us know your thoughts on desert titanium color
absolutely! I'll be making content on Friday
Also, the time spent talking about the 4 mics and Audio Mix - I can't think of a real-world use case for it. Am I missing something?
Are you thinking of keeping the AirPods Max USB-C ? Or only reviewing and returning them ?
I’don’t now…. I waited so many time the new model and at the end they are the same of the last 4 years. Do you advise me them ? Or do i have to wait other 4 years for AirPods Max 2 ? Hahhaa
its your vibe for me! I be waiting for your videos ! I dont know how im just catching this one a day later !
im glad I dont care too much about AI
Great to hear from you...and lovely to know you are enjoying my content! Thank you! Like yourself, I am not a massive AI fan or user
The Apple Watch "10th Anniversary" is actually on April 24, 2025. Could around then be when the Watch SE2 comes out?
It’d be the SE3 and if it’s plastic like the rumors suggest then it wouldn’t be much of an anniversary celebration.
@@garrickmusic my bad, I misinterpreted. I can definitely see people getting mixed up with the SE2 since it’s doesn’t seem to mentioned anymore.
@MarcoBeSomething 👍My stainless steel Series 4 still looks great, and the battery still gets me by for an average day, but I'm ready to move to the Series 10. I'll take my chances with aluminum this time.
ooooh! Cool point!! Love it - thank you 🙏🏻
Hard words. Everyone is thinking of them no one saying. Nice vid
thanks man! 🤛🏻
Waiting for my AirPods Pro 2 to update to the new ‘Hearing aid’ update will be in touch when it happens
The promise will never come true. It’s what we have been buying with the iPad Pros for so long now.
although on the iPhone they generally do deliver
I thought Apple Intelligence is NOT available at all yet in UK and will not be available for some time? Am I wrong?
hi - as far as I know, now we are no longer in the EU, we will get Apple Intelligence, it's just a case of when...but I stand to be corrected
We will be able to use Apple Intelligence as long as you set your language to US English and it works even in the beta version of iOS 18.1
Good to know 👍🏻
I was a big apple fan but fell out of love with it earlier this year to the point where I have replaced my whole eco system to samsung.
@@Steven-e7c they’re selling very well judging by the shipping times.
Yeah - Apple need to rest on their laurels for too long. They tide will turn if they do
Another interesting vid Mr L and as per my previous comment, nowhere near enough ‘improvements’ on the 16 to make me forgo my 15. So, I’ll wait for the 17…or possibly the new SE in early 2025 when it is released!
Not to even mention us living in EU, nobody knows if we ever will get Apple AI... And yet still, I ordered iPhone 16 Pro Max as European... because I can't stand that Apple lightning port in my iPhone 13 Pro Max, I need that fast USB-C
the transfer speeds of that port on the Pros for me was a game changer
@@DavidLewisTech Yes! Now I can finally too just literally instantly move all photos and videos into my Samsung T3 1TB SSD
Honestly - I think that Thunderbolt port is so underrated! It is one of the points I like best about my 15 Pro Max
Sure - I'll try to cover that interesting point in a video soon...
Hands up who's looking forward to the 17 already!
Next event is going to be: Apple Blow Time 😂
Can you imagine 🤣
I feel Apple needs to push the privacy and security side of using their own servers. That could be a massive USP
I am coming from the 11 so the changes i think are good
I am also replacing an 11. I’m getting the 16Pro and my wife is getting my 14 Pro to replace the 11.
From an 11 to a 16...I think your mind will be blown!

Oh damn - you should be! I can't wait to hear your thoughts. 11 - 16...WOW!

To call the AirPods Max
An upgrade is a joke
Yup - no H2 chip let alone a new case or an on/off button....
Apple ai works on 18.1 👍
Good to know! 👌🏻
Here's a thought... If you buy this on a promise... and it does not come in a reasonable time... can you claim a refund? :)
I love your thought process! Good luck in making that one stick though
Hi um,
Galaxys "are" Samsungs!
For the first time I'm going to give the pixel 9 pro a go
I enjoyed my time with the 8 Pro last year - it will be interesting to hear your take
Next video: iphone 16 pro max- Nearly perfect phone😅
...are you reading my scripts 🤣
Just enough to keep you entertained
I don't think it would've been a good idea to put the new Siri UI in with the current software backing it … the new Siri _requires_ the new edge AI to handle better contextual awareness, and you don't want the new UI with the old Siri because Apple _doesn't_ want to hear:
"Oh … you've got the new Siri."
"Yeah, but it's no better than the old one."
I'm a patient guy _and_ a stockholder, and I don't want to see half-baked features sent out in the world.
I feel sorry for UA-camrs knowing they're not going to ever feel the excitement I and many others feel.
I loved the Apple presentation, and the tech we now get in our pocket computers is next level!
