You are the first person to nail the Yosuke/Naoto fusion that Emil is. Mad respect. For real though, awesome review/overview of the game! Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts on it. I appreciate it.
And I agree, the journals could be executed better. I may try and do something similar to how the TIPS are presented in Higurashi, creating more of a distinction in terms of scene direction between Emil's entries (the first half) and Oliver's entries (the second half).
Wow, I never thought the developer would actually watch this video... Anyways, thank you for your kind words and, most importantly, thank you for making Siren's Call: while rough in some places, it is still a very enjoyable visual novel, one which I had a lot of fun playing and thinking about (I think this video is enough proof of that). Good luck with Escape Velocity, I hope you can make Siren's Call an even better game than what it already is! Also, give a high five to whoever thought about Judith's character and story, they did an excellent job.
@@SigmaOni Happy to make it. n_nb Expect at the very least for the journals to be presented better in Escape Velocity once that fully releases. The horror stuff I def don't want to change too much because my goal was to make it about as much of a "horror" game as DDLC is a "dating sim" (meaning not really at all) so I kinda want that to stay somewhat transparent. But yeah, those journal passages will have actual stage direction like the rest of the game going forward.
