i’m in york hall! cumberland rooms are about the same size, but the closets are a tad bit smaller and they have a door. also, i believe cumberland rooms also come with some counter space near the door!
i haven’t heard much about the business program, but i would recommend going to the umaine majors&minors catalog to read up on what umaine offers for business! :)
heyy, i love your video but i had a question. So im trying to make my decision between umaine and uri and im having trouble trying to decide. Can you tell me like things you can do for fun there or just some little things about maine.
there have been a lot of rules made for those living on campus. if you’re in a double room, only 4 people (including you and your roommate) are allowed in your room. if you have a single, only 2 people (including yourself) are allowed in your room. nobody from other buildings are allowed in your building. masks are required in the halls at all times other than showering and brushing your teeth in the bathroom. umaine is doing amazing at enforcing rules that will help the slow of covid, and although the dorm experience isn’t the best it could be, there are still covid-safe ways you can meet people around campus!! i hope this helped:)
I’m thinking about going there and maybe joining the honors college since I was accepted! The one thing I’m worried about is how well I’d fit in there. Would you say you can still make friends without having to party all the time or join a sorority? I like going out just not all the time so I wasn’t sure how much social activities there are besides heavy drinking!
i have some friends in the honors college, and from what they’ve told me, the workload is definitely a lot to handle but worth it in the long run! everyone in the honors college takes the same gen ed classes, so the people in your residence hall will be taking the same courses as you, which makes it super easy to get study groups together. making friends during covid is definitely challenging, but it is not impossible; you do not have to go to parties and join a sorority! i would recommend joining a club/organization, getting an on-campus job, going to school-run events, and knocking on your neighbors doors to introduce yourself! i know putting yourself out there can be intimidating, but i’ve made so many friends by doing it! it’s worth it 💗💗
I really don't understand why Americans buy paper/single use plastic plates/bowls/cups, it's so wasteful, no wonder America is one of the biggest producers of waste. Just buy a normal melamine or reusable plastic one and wash it, it's not difficult...
As an incoming freshman at UMaine, this video helps a ton when it comes to relieving some anxiety.

Girl… there is nowhere to wash them. They’re in the dorms 😭
@@JuliaN-fi9zw I lived in res (dorms) for 2 years and I didn't have disposable dishware. There are bathrooms, you wash them in there.
