Very frustrating to face such a dead end situation. Makes me wonder what kind of country Nicaragua is. I’m sure there would be good people living there but their ambassadors to the world are not doing any justice to their country. I hope their higher officials watch these vlogs and correct the system. You learned too hard a lesson about not having cash on you and dealing with nonsense at a border. Well, you got a new video, so you survived sleeping with the mosquitos, the drunk guy and the eerily quiet area when you left the building. Good for you. You laugh well! Sure, for cheap options, you only have those hostels, but the city has many big hotels. Intercontinental, Holiday Inn, LQ Hotel, etc. The subtitles could make people think Tegucigalpa is some sort of dirtroad town.

Land border crossings are tricky for citizens of developing countries like India as most of the Indians on leisure or business trip would not use land crossings. Now that Indians like yourself and Raja are vlogging world over we can expect change in rules.

If you watch @Charly Sinewan who is an adventure motorcyclist from Spain, he faced a similar situation while crossing the Nicaragua border, ended up without entering. .
If more Indians go this way, maybe their perspective would change that not all Indians go Donkey Route and are potential future tourists Or Else our embassy should the same country on black list as well.

It's not about economy or military. We are already maybe 200 times bigger than Nicaragua in terms of GDP. Military strength doesn't matter because this country is on the other side of the Earth. Until India is able to stop illegal immigration of its citizens every country will disrespect our passport.

Paramvir what i have understood its always better to visit the embassy of the country located in Delhi we're visiting in advance . As little as invitation letter stamped by the embassy is enough in such case .

The value of the passport also has a lot to do with the citizens. A lot of Indian citizens, specially punjabis and gujratis use south american countries to enter the US illegally, they do the same with the non-EU countries to enter the EU. Also, the behaviour of some Indians abroad spoils the image of the country. We can't blame everything on the govt.
bruv you have travelled about 50 countries and unfortunately it seems you had one bad experience with Nicaragua, but you didnt seemed to face any such problems with other countries you have travelled apart from going through their normal immigration procedure, so that still shows that our Indian passport has a decent value while travelling abroad

I have travelled in so many countries and never have faced such issues. The immigration people in all countries barring a few, do not discriminate on the basis of colour of the passport, but they do assess the person holding it.
Either you don’t have an Indian passport or you haven’t really travelled.
