Or not. Syria being how it was before the war is the reason why Syria is the way it is today. Your Lebanese neighbors had a really tough time co-existing with the Syrian regime. Mysterious abductions were all too common in Lebanon in the 90s for anyone who uttered a word of criticism against Syria.
Hello Ben. Thank You for saying good things about Ethiopia 🇪🇹. Me and my family love you so much more than Hollywood Movies. Keep up the good work 👏🏽 🙌 👍🏾
@@BackpackerBen I glad to see in syria , it is really nice to see tourists come and visit us after so long . I live in the south we have many great historical sites from the Roman time and even older than that ..like bosra with its roman theatre.be sure to visit us next time.
@@BackpackerBen don’t you just backpack all the time? Lol kidding of course. Well maybe on your next trip. Thanks for all your time and effort to make the videos. Keep it up! They are informative and entertaining.
11:39 The Shrine of John the Baptist a.k.a Prophet Yahya. Umayyad Mosque, very special and impressive. I would love to go back to Damascus. It's an amazing place. My dad lived and worked there for a couple of years, i went for a vacay there in the 90s. Very sad what is still happening to Syria. It's completely messed up.
It's sad to see the ruins, a city is just like a living human, so love and hard work put in,year after year to build it. And just one moment destroy the loving city. I can only pray , hope and keep faith in the Almighty. 🙏🙏🙏
The mosque in Pakistan has unique modern design(the facades) that is not found in any other mosque around the world, if I am correct. That one is in its own league. This one looks old with ancient twist and I like it. I am not actually a fan of religion buildings but, I can always relate with them though. Thank you for this video, sir.
The Umayyad Mosque has a unique design not found anywhere else in the world either. Except Hagia Sophia. The Umayyad Mosque of Damascus was first an Aramean temple for the god of rain Hadad, then a roman temple for the Roman god of rain Jupiter, then a church, then a church and a mosque simultaneously with different praying rooms for both, and now just a mosque. However, because of this history, its design is very Christian and Byzantine. You see this in the basilicas and mosaics, its pillars, its structure, its tinted windows from the inside... Additionally, the head of John the Baptist is in the mosque. This dates back to from when it was a church, so this is generally acknowledged by Christians as well. Because of this, Pope John Paul II became the first pope in history to ever visit a mosque when he visited the Umayyad Mosque in 2001.
visit us again ♥, and let me take you tour around other cities ♥ and the best Shawarma shop that you like it xD you did not see the best part of it yet :D Hope to see you here soon ♥
If your mate didn't want to pay for the covid test he could of hiked over the mountain pass like Hezbollah do to get into Lebanon 🤣🤣🤣 Still not convinced.wont be putting it on my travel bucket list just yet 🤣🤣🤣
May I share an Old Testament Verse with you from Daniel 7:14 "And there was given him dominion, and glory, and a Kingdom, that all people, nations, and languages, should SERVE Him; his dominion is an Everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and his kingdom shall not pass away, & His Kingdom that which shall not be destroyed." God the Father loves you so much that He sent Holy Sinless Jesus (His Holy Son) to earth to be born of a virgin. Then, to grow up and die on a cross for our sins. He was in the tomb for 3 days, then Father God raised Holy and Sinless Jesus Christ (Y'shua) to Life! He appeared to people and went back to Heaven. We must receive Sinless Jesus sincerely to be God's child(John 1:12).After we get saved by grace through faith in Christ, if we truly love the Lord Jesus Christ, then we will obey Jesus(John 14:15). Mark 1:15 "And saying, the time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: Repent ye, and believe the gospel." Jesus said in John 14:15 "If you love Me, keep My commandments. "There's a real hell. It says in Revelation 21:8 "But for the cowardly, & unbelieving, and abominable, and murderers, & immoral persons sorcerers & idolaters & all liars, their part will be in the lake that burns with fire & brimstone..." Please sincerely receive Holy Jesus and put your true faith and trust in Him today and please repent. Will you have a Real encounter with Holy Lord Jesus (Y'shua is His Hebrew Name) and stay in a Genuine relationship with Him daily please?
a sad day in Syria but I felt I had to show these parts of the country. I really hope in the coming years Syria is back to how it was before the war
In Malaysia we do have a few organizations that collects money and other sorts of help for the Syrian people in needs. ❤

Such a magnificent, hallowed place. Was sad at the end because the place and the people are so beautiful, and deserve so much better.
It won’t if Israel anything to say about it. Netanyahu seems pretty insane
