Excellent video here Peter, what a great pair of finds those were on EBay for your rake, first off it’s great that those who follow on Facebook said yes to you to do this, I’m not on Facebook myself so couldn’t respond to your poll, onto the train though you have done a great job, frost off just being able to find the eBay listings with a bundle of the wagons you wanted is fantastic, I have built up a lot of my rakes through eBay and looking for bundles instead of getting them all separate, the 90 also a great addition to the train, certainly agree with you on your opinions about it setting the standards, I recently managed to sound fit mine and the pantograph feature is great, a fantastic running session to end off the video, lots of great trains, keep up the great work Peter.
Hi Peter, I do like the RES Livery, I got part of mine out for a run recently with the Bachmann class 47, RES Royal School for the Blind and the new EFE Propelling Control Vehicle. The 47 is the previous tooling but still pretty good
Looks smart Peter. I remember seeing them all over the country but even more so at my local, Tyne Yard, watching the vans being shunted by the yard gronk. Then the 47s/86 or 90 would take em down to the Parcel office to be loaded before coming past on their way to Bristol, Plymouth or London KX.
Sadly the skips took over for a while, which was good to get them underlined in the platform 5's but they lost their appeal without decent traction on. So if you have an EWS 67 spare, you can recreate a different era too.
The GCR TPO coaches are currently having bodywork repairs. I also remember reading something about a speed restriction on a bridge around Quorn, which was another reason the TPO rake was not used for many years.

It certainly is a smart livery, if only those days were still here
