Hi, it is a personal choice, though it is better to haul out. Hauling out dries the boat/hull over winter and spring, providing full boat (bottom) access during spring commissioning. Access for bottom painting, cutlass-bearing replacement, prop servicing etc. More piece of mind on the hard than in the water over the harsh NE winters. That said, I am staying IN the water (wet storage) this winter. Economics: $3,000 on the hard in metro Boston for winter and only $800 in the water at my YC,
