But wait!...Even in the early 19th century, Schubert had to ask those who sang and "improvised heavily" with his songs: "oh, who's the composer of that now?".... @@thomasboushier2972 I haven't talked about copyright, and I mean that the word "steal" doesn't quite fit. Bach transcribed and recomposed many of his concerts, and he also adapted them to his own style, which is quite clear when you listen to it.
