Spencer didn't get into double-figures in kills until late in the 3rd set, I believe. But the correct balance of efficiency and timely kills outside of the Greek duo (Dimi and Spyros) made it all the moreso, the effective combination for Hawaii to win back-to-back NCAA championships.
I think Thelle should have been player of the year. He's so awesome!!!!!! Also, his teammates are also awesome. LOVE THE TEAM'S HUMILITYand respect for the other team. Charlie Wade is right when he said we have the best volleyball fans in the world. Way to go Bows!
Near perfect volleyball by Hawaii!… passing, setting, blocking and combi attacks and Long Beach did not have an answer. Mahalo once again for the upload!
not a great showing from aidan knipe… as the setter you hold the whole team together. aiden played poorly all night. a handful of violations and errors, strange setting choices, sets too far off the net etc. don’t mean to pick on the guy but he really stood out as not being up to par, especially when the setter on the other side is the incredible jakob thelle- who is serving tough with several aces, making perfect sets and set choices, hitting on 2, really keeping the team focused and together. day and night between the two setters, and day and night for team dynamics as a whole! hawaii was all about teamwork, lbsu was full of discord all night
@@VincesArtDesigns yeah but still, you have a really strong right side that you can work in out of system. And even when they were in system, he went to nikolov 80% of the time
Thanks for uploading the full game! Nikolov is an amazing talent, but he's not much of a team player. He's constantly yelling at his teammates even when he's the one making mistakes. You could tell that Olivier was over his chirping at certain points in the game.
I made a comment about LBS players at one point arguing with each other and someone wrote I didn’t notice them arguing and I like did you watch the same game or what? There was several times LBS teammates were arguing with each other they had a total breakdown and were frustrated with each other not making plays
I think the difference between these two teams is Hawaii played with All Heart and All Team, LB played with big heads because they had Nikolov but he's young, got attitude and there was no team effort or togetherness at all, so sad, they wanted the title so bad and at all costs.
The last challenge by UH, showed Knipe higher than the net for one, when he is a backrow player. For another you see his rear end touch the net before the ball touched the ground.
