More corrupt, dirtier, less hard working, but at least it's not a dictatorship?
tell me I am wrong, and why?
though we at least share a similar view about South Africa...
India is the New China: younger demographics and probably already a bigger population as China's figured are fudged. China has passed peak population and they estimate a halving by 2070 now! China is truly screwed; their economy has already stagnated. Within the decade China will be a basket case just like Japan only without reaching the middle income status. Indeed I expect negative growth and famine wiill come. Once or as the CCP works this out they will irrationally start a war over Taiwan and their population will starve as a result of the blockade. The CCP won't give up power without trying this first even though they know they will lose in the end but will take up to as many as 500 million expendable mainland Han slaves down with them! This is why I have a very low opinion of mainland Chinese and their culture: they are sheep who will march lockstep into the disaster the fascist CCP inevitably lead them into indeed even with an ignorant glee! That's not to say that India is perfect with its Nationalism and corruption too but the difference between a democracy however flawed and fascism is like chalk and cheese.
i left out: still riven by rigid castes and facing a fierce hindu nationalist fascism which consistently shits on the few remaining muslims.
See bro I am from india, and i can see and hear your propaganda against china is very illogical and non-sense, india is going to be next "Sri lanka" because, in india education and healthcare is out of reach for india's middle-class and for India's poor. India is moving towards bankruptcy and indian government is selling every public assets to private sector, and i can see into your eyes you don't even care about india you want to just spread fake propaganda against china, because you western love to lecture 3rd world countries. China is a superpower and india is soon going to be bankrupt.
This is why Australia is forming Alliances with India, Japan and South Korea. How your trading partners treat you is more important than how much money you make..

I'm an African and I have been watching how India behaves towards other "smaller" nations.
India has been rendering CPR (cardio pulmonary resuscitation) to Sri Lanka (during it's economic crisis) - they have extended a line of credit that has lower rates of interest when compared to Chinese loans.
India donated a large amount of grain to Afghanistan.
India will help (if it can) even if there's no immediate payback from the recipient. China from what I can see is more "business like" ie less compassionate. China did great things in Africa in the past like the TANZAM railway, but this feeling of "brotherhood" seems to have faded from the Chinese government.
80% of the wells and roads in Africa are built by the Chinese。Africans don't know how to be grateful. I'm disappointed with these blacks. The whole world felt that blacks could not be saved.
@@sosoable I know about Sikkim and Kashmir (which are both incredibly complicated topics for a youtube comment), but when did India invade Bhutan?

When both my parents (who i was visiting in Chennai, South India) got Covid, the govt officials came knocking on our doors to say we can't keep them at home as they were both above 80 and needed to be hospitalized. I said i was a physician and would take care of them at home and hospitalize them if needed.
No questions, no argument. They went away.
My parents are fine now and tided over the covid infection successfully. Looking back, if this was China, they would be rounded up by the officials in an isolation center by force and i too would be put somewhere, the house sealed etc etc.

As someone that lived 6years in china and now is regularly working in India for over a decade, I can only support what is said in this video. VERY GOOD SUMMARY
Where you live in India? Bangalore?
As an Indian I am glad you are not making up the same BS as other youtubers do to make India look better than it is. I gladly accept that it has problems that we need to work on but we all will have our say in it.
The world respects hard work. Even if India is developing and they show the world they're working hard India will be respected.
Honestly, pretending to make India better than it really is just a reaction to people "exoticising poverty" and taking tours in dangerous, messy areas while having no prior knowledge of how people behave and keeping themselves safe. Not only they put themselves in danger and create panic among locals and the government but they feed into a notion that poverty somehow adds authenticity to Indian culture; Indians who don't suffer from poverty must be corrupt or culturally impure. This creates a devastating effect onto global perception of Indian culture and makes India a harder country to relate to than it really is.
Chest thumping!!
Sort of same here , i hate when they glorify it as some sort of heaven on earth , this man spoke the truth , the good ,the bad and the ugly.
As much as i hate somethings about my country , i am still happy i was born in india
I'm absolutely onboard with you bro. Our country has no doubt a lot of problems (some politically/religiously motivated and others very natural to our way of living so far) but I as an Indian have complete faith we will do better than this and do so without having to hide anything as such viz-a-viz our neighbour(s).
I still remember and believe in that song we used to sing at mass in school:
"We Shall Overcome, one day" Jai Hind 🇮🇳
The first time I came to India was 11 years ago as a language teacher. That first year - especially the work with all those bright young students, but of course also mundane interactions in everyday life or during travels - made me truly fall in love with the country and the people. I was truly sad when my year was up and I had to return home. However, 8 years ago I came back to marry the love of my life and have been living there ever since, and I have zero intentions to move away if I have a say in it.
Does India have its problems? Of course, they are all very much loved by film and documentary makers alike, but nobody is more aware of them than Indians themselves. It is a big country with a HUGE population and in conclusion those problems are huge and without short term fixes too. But those problems are being discussed and efforts are made to tackle them, often at grass root level by small local ngos full of people who try to make something better one little step at a time.
And that's just what I love about India. Indians are open and engaged. They are very much involved in driving change, on big as well as on small level. may it be the 60 year old aunty who decides to start a tiffin business out of her kitchen, or the 5 man little ngo that organizes music classes for kids in slums, or the ice cream shop owner who asks everyone if they have any old glasses for an old people's home he donates to, and I could write an essay about all such people I meet here regularly. And then there are all those ultra-bright people, not only young ones but even elderly. Only the other day I met a 70 year old man who just learned a new programming language. I was floored. People are open, people want to make a change, they want a better life - of course for themselves, but many many also have compassion to try and give a positive change to others - they want to learn, they are eager and open and curious to get to know you and possibly get some positive input from you, they think on the fly - Indian jugaad is something to be reckoned with in big and in small things - they adapt to the situations as they come, it's truly humbling.
And finally, as a foreigner of another ethnicity I will forever be grateful at how welcome I've always felt here and at how easy it is to encounter and communicate with people on a human-to-human level. People you talk to are not just 'Indians' they could be your aunty, or your uncle, or your little brother or sister, or your big brother or sister, you connect to people that way and despite all the harshness that is undoubtedly often there due to the economic and communal situation, there is also so so much open and warm humanity.
After almost 10 years living in India I have full faith that India will continue to advance to a better future, one step at a time, no matter how long it will take. It sometimes may feel like no progress is made, but if you look at how India was left behind by the British just after 1947 (you just need to read V.S. Naipaul's bitter early work to get an idea), India has advanced lightyears, and that after being basically sucked dry by foreign occupiers for centuries before that.
I'll always be grateful to this country for welcoming me in. Jai Hind!
Thank you for considering us Indians, equal....🙏🙏
Touched... !! Thank you for your kind words.
I hear you. I'm German and I too have always been made to feel welcome in India.

Immediately after the Indo-China incident in Galwan 2 years ago, India came forward and acknowledged that 20 of its soldiers were killed in action. While China told the world that its soldiers are the autobots from the movie transformers and they don't die. What followed after that event was simply matter of culture. One went ahead and honored its fallen soldiers with full grace, without caring a bit for its image, while the other did not acknowledge anything for years, buried its soldiers in nameless graves somewhere in the himalayas while their family members wept in agony and in total darkness. Imagine the confidence of men serving such state for which the grace of its fallen soldiers count so little.

It is almost as if india has it's own version of english, as the accent gets reinforced when speaking to each other.
if you go to school in India, the English teachers there have the same stereotypical indian accent most of the time. So it can't really be helped tbh.
Indian accent is largely derived from Welsh accent. It's not hard to understand, we just expect people to speak in a particular way because unlike the past, only a small number of accents have disproportionately large reach and influence across the world.
It DOES have itxs own form of English. The differences between American, British, Australian, South African and New Zealand English I would describe as accent. Indian English is a dialect.
I find Indians speak more grammatically correct english.
Hindi was limited to the North but soon was imposed by the greedy political parties ,and the Dravidian parties took advantage of this and began portraying that South India is being oppressed which is bullsh*t.

India is perhaps one of the most sophisticated countries in the world.
They embarrassed us (the British) by reflecting our own ideals back on us and shaming us into conceding they had every right to self rule.
For all our boasts we had no reply to the Mahatma's simple frankness.
I met a lot of older Indians when I lived in the Arab gulf. I received more than a few enthusiastic British army salutes from clerks and road construction workers.
Especially among Hindu, Christian, and Bhuddist Indians there is glint in the eye, and a shared understanding our past wastn't all bad, a lot of fondness and humour remains.
We now share a common heritage, perhaps 10% of the UK population is from, or descended from the subcontinent.
Indians are nice to have around.

I first became interested in India at a very young age because of the Metaphysics. The Upanishads is to the Bible what an enciclopedia is to a comic book. The whole corpus of Hindu religious texts is just mind blowing and it influenced my views of life and the human experience a lot and for the better. But when I had the opportunity to travel extensively across India a few years back I was astonished. Humanity in all its glory and misery, so much heart and warmth. Indians are simply the nicest people in the world and I hope I can retire there. The arguments are legitimate to prove your point of view when comparing India and China..
India is a land of diversity with group of multiple nations(linguistic ethnic) living peacefully..
Dirty and low caste countries. India also invaded Sikkim, Manipur and Kashmir.
India is a civilizational state. We don't consider ourselves different nations. This nation concept is a western thing. People might get offended on this.
we speak different languages but we are connected by our souls. I find the same thing in Europe. They speak different languages but there is something connecting them.
Its very hard (almost impossible) to portray the actual overall image of India for an outsider as It is undoubtedly the most diverse country in the world but I don't know how, you almost made it possible. Great job, appreciate your hard work.
Cant go wrong with india ...lovely ppl n lots of culture n history
Both countries have lots of culture and a long history and the Chinese are just as friendly.
We know why you think the way you do buddy.. They didn't let you continue doing what you thought that could get away with in China.. the thumbnail says it all Bud. You ain't fooling nobody.
Fun Fact: IMF reports India has eliminated extreme poverty in 2021.
Thats the thing, everyone has problems! Unless you point out the problems you will never make it correct! And that is why, I can proudly say, that we are progressing in the correct direction.
That's bullshit though.
There is still a huge difference between the situation poverty is in India vs poverty is in western nations
@@dontobby89 it not bullshit, poverty and extreme poverty are different.
I am so poor
India has not eliminated poverty. They didnt even have enough toilets in their country in modern times
There’s another Indian philosophy which is unique in a way and that is : to share ! Inclusiveness!!! We don’t want to be the world superpower, we don’t need all the money , we just need the world to be a happy place where everyone is welcome and looked after. We say it “ Vasudaiva Kutumbakam” Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam is a Sanskrit phrase found in Hindu texts such as the Maha Upanishad, which means "The World Is One Family".
I love that.
