When he did the handstand the Hawthorn player said you will never be a footballer as long as your ass points to the ground. So he pointed it towards the sky
He was also the 'Oi!' guy from Energizer battery ads. Jacko also had success on the Australian music charts. One song was titled 'Me Brain Hurts'. Australian royalty.
I had the pleasure of meeting JACKO and CHOPPER when they came into my sports store to buy mini baseball bats to sign and give to fans ,,both Bloody legend's
Jacko was a loose cannon. He could play but his career suffered from his love of clowning. He released a couple of singles, one called I'm an Individual which had some short-lived success on the charts. He was a funny bugger in a Chopper Read sort of way...without the murders and ear chopping.
haha Couldn't have said it better myself I'm a Pies Supporter, but still loved Jacko back in the day.... Met him a few times at various pubs in Richmond Big pisshead, but weren't we all?
I heard when Jacko went to south Fremantle later in his career he said I am the toughest bloke at this club and if anyone has something to say about it now is your chance. The toughest guy at the club stood up and knocked him on his ass. Jacko stood up and said right I am the second toughest guy at this 😂😂😂
Mate the Best Football Interview in History i'll put me left plum on it Jacko being interviewed. Its - Mark Jackson Open Mike - cheers mate from South Oz 🇦🇺👌
Jacko later became famous for being the face of Energiser Battries TV advertisements and he was even had a role in short lived US action television series called "The Highwayman".
My dad was a builder and not a football fan and years ago jacko used to work for him as a roof tiler during the day. He would go to the local school at lunch time and kick the footy with the kids they would ask for his autograph and my dad didn’t have a clue who he was for a while until one of the kids told him! Really good dude.
Love him or hate him, most loved him, Jacko was a clown prince of VFL/AFL....a very funny character from the 1970s to 80s. He later teamed up with Chopper Read with a travelling comedy routine.
He looked like an idiot but he was pretty smart. Back in the day when life- changing salaries weren't even a thing, he was doing tv ads, released a couple of singles and made a fortune..i call that smart.
We don't have characters like this anymore, either in footy or cricket 🥺. Even me who wasn't a passionate sporting viewer, would watch because of characters like this 😅👌
The fact he had to change clubs so many times tells you he was not capable of playing team game. Idiot first, footballer second. Found his calling doing stupid Energizer battery commercials. He was certainly not worth having on your own team. More trouble than he was worth. All looks like fun and games but in one match he caused so much trouble the game became mayhem and one player on opposition king hit a player on Jacko's team and that player would be charged with assault by the actual police and went to court over that. But Jacko, I believe, started the on field chaos which led to that violence by other players on both sides. But hey good luck to him outside of football if he wants to make money being a clown. I think he was on some silly American tv show like The Highway man, Knightrider or A Team or some crap from the later 1980's. Do not know what show as they were not things I would waste my time watching. I think as a little kid or teenager ,he allegedly, used to blow up people's mail boxes for kicks.
YOU HAVE SEEN THE AGRO SHORTS! Jacko was in a quick one. AGRO remarked something something Anne Marie and U (Jacko) must go to the same colouristist NOT VERBATIM BW. Jacko says something like you are beginning to brown me off (again not verbatim) .
Used to watch him play when I was a kid. Have distinct memories of laughing at his on field antics with my Dad.😊
Jacko has a pop song and video that charted you might want to react to. It's called "I'm an Individual"

I’m too young to have seen him play back in the day, but I remember him as the guy from the Energizer battery ads in the 90s. The guy was fuckin nuts.

Almost forty years ago. Like a song he did years ago “I’m an individual”
I never saw him play before, I have seen his song, I'm an individual - totally crazy! 🤣
Jacko and Agro - thats a show.
Jacko Had a Song Called Jacko Can't Get Up Named After Him
You should check out his single "I'm an individual"

He also made a music video.
When AFL was so entertaining 😂
When he played for Geelong he kicked 115 goals in 31 games. Not bad for a forward, clown or not !
Do Warrick Capper next, the short shorts king of the Swans! He really thought he was the best, until he got in a boxing ring! 😄
He was a strange person lol
Example of an Australian Bogan
We need jacko now we only have ginni
You have heaps of Melbourne stuff on your channel

Everyone I knew simply thought he was a complete wanker. But each to their own.
