Great video, can’t get Vudu to work on a 2014 Samsung 3D blu ray player, can’t cast to Apple TV get error code very frustrating have many 3D movies from Vudu.
C'mon Acer... release the SpatialLabs Eyes in the US! I'll be getting the Xreal Beam Pro as my Xmas gift from my wife. However, now thinking I might return it without opening it and wait for the Acer since it looks like it will finally be for sale in the US soon... hopefully.
The next Turbine 3D bluray collection will be Scream VI, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Mutant Mayhem, and Friday the 13th Part 3. It'll probably open for preorder in February.
19:52 I don’t get much overlap between my love for superhero/comics and 3D. The Fleischer Superman episodes look so amazing in 3D that they sometimes look to look like they were meant to be seen that way all along. I’m so glad to have it and highly recommend it.
16:20 sorry to hear that. No one around me cares about 3D. If I allowed the social element to stop me, I’d have no AVP…and would still be watching my 3d movies (mostly) alone. Not sure what you mean about there resolution. It’s absolutely incredible watching flicks on the AVP. It’s the best “screen” I’ve ever had. The other advantages are massive. My entirely digital 3D library goes where I go. And I don’t need to lug 3D TV’s around with me or at my relatives’ homes (as I have previously done). I’m away for the holidays but don’t need to be without any Apple 3D title or the ability to view them. That convenience is never mentioned anywhere anyone mentions the AVP (that I have seen).
The AVP is a great display as far as VR viewers go, and I enjoyed using it (except for the comfort aspect, did not enjoy wearing it, & the resolution clarification was explained in the review video). But like I said the big problem here is lack of choice, locking to this type of device for which some people find the cons outweigh the pros. If both were available and the price was reasonable then I might consider using it as mentioned in the video, but even the still prefer projectors/TVs for main use.
8:34 That’s one hell of a workaround. Thanks. My twins’ Roku tv isn’t 3D compatible but its Vudu app remains viable, fwiw. It’s interesting that they disabled the whole app on 3D compatible devices but apparently not on non-3D? I haven’t tested enough to confirm fully. Maybe it’s just that the 3D TV’s are much older and wouldn’t support the kinds of updates Vudu had in-mind.
19:05 Bumblebee has been on the AVP for some time. Reminds me of Deadpool/Wolverine which was on the AVP a month before people started reporting receiving their discs.
I’m really hoping for more Dreamwork’s movies for Turbine to distribute. The Last Wish, Kung Fu Panda 4 oh and Illumination’s Despicable Me 4 I don’t have any hope for Disney sadly unless Sony does something unexpected with distribution. It’d be nice if Marvel was affordable again. The prices of what we got distributed from Japan on Americas Amazon jolted up again. I have no clue what to expect at this point except to be frustrated with Disney.
Thanks for the info 😉

Yup & it's been available as a bootleg from streaming for years, but now people can finally watch it on a home theater in the best quality.
OK finally. This time is for real. But Acer's marketing is really confusing isn't it
Well we still don't have a timeline unfortunately, but at least the signs are pointing in the right direction.
