That ending breakdown in Death Impress also reminds me "jiluka - venom" ending breakdown, where they also mixed huge breakdown with choir. Sounds amazing

they're too different to compare directly, infant's albums, especially EGG, transports you to a godless, hellish and hopeless world, this EP does its own thing

This EP gave me the same sort of vibes I had listening to Behemoth's Demigod back when I was a teen. The production goes crazy.

I need more classical music covers in deathcore. The Vivaldi pull is so insane
I think Iscariot's Servants to a lesser god has solo + breakdown simultaneously but its not quite as impactful as it is here.

Honestly might be my second favorite deathcore release of all time
Synestia and Disembodied Tyrant literally took what is arguably the cheesiest genre of metal in symphonic deathcore and crafted an absolute fucking masterpiece. The way they work in Vivaldi’s music while the other instruments build off of it before going into more traditional deathcore sections shows a real understanding and appreciation for classical music, and the metal instrumentation (the guitar playing especially) is absolutely world class technical while also played with feeling
Not gonna lie, this is definitely EP of the year for me, hands down
If we only get 4 of these level of songs a year or every two years... infinitely worth it.
Edit: Also I, The Devourer is easily my favorite song from the EP still, but hot damn both of the new songs give The Poetic Edda a run for its money... and it wasn't far below I, the Devourer.

Fully agree with that section in Winter being weird and out of place, did not work for me at all. The rest of the song was great but that bit really throws me. Still, that's literally my only gripe with the whole EP, everything else is gold. It will be interesting to see the individual bands try to top this collab.
