You never played Sides, The Asylum or The Temple? Old clip of Sides, I think Mick was playing this track but in the clip you'll see all the Finglas crew. I'm in there too dancing my socks off. ua-cam.com/video/rTTdxj5Q5eE/v-deo.html
Th Kitchen is the one club in Dublin I never went to. Being part of the hotel that U2 owned it was kinda looked down by use regular clubbers as a bit of a poseurs place. Besides Sides, The Ormund, The Asylum, G1, The Temple, UFO all had better DJs.
@@GracieDuff-y8i Mark Kavanagh wasn't a great DJ though. His mixing was only OK and his music choice was just the most popular tracks available. Saying that I still went every week for about two years (until I started going Sides, Asylum and other places the Finglas DJs played - Mick Walsh, Warren K, Pat Hyland, Jay Carey)
This Reminds me of a Club in Palma de Mallorca which was called LUNA, it was open 6am till 10 am sundays......they played this as the sun was coming up and shining through the windows on a winters day.......Awesome
This was classic Sunset Boulevard here in Glasgow (Clydebank) on a Sunday night with Tevendale, McCreery & co big Trevor & Stevie Kerr circa 1994-ish best wee club in the UK getting choonage weeks before general release! That wee club was as good as anything on the White Isle of Ibiza 94-99 :)
Haha nae danger...I went to the boule every Sunday night and i tell thee it was the Bizzo !!! Your right mate it was some place !! the choons were rocking !! my top 5 choons fae the boule were - Discuss - save the day The Shaker - strong to survive Escrima-Deeper(Club Mix) Rebekah Ryan Just a Little Bit of Love (Hi Lux mix) Natural High Warp 69 (Jap Jop Mux) 94 - 97 Goodtimes :)
Glasgow Darkskyman loved them all too bud so many great choonz to remember Tin Tin out Always something there to remind me a classic then there was Seven Days in one week, and so many more. The Shaker had a few great tunes and StS was one of my favs ! Miss that wee club 94-97 every Sunday night MARVELLOUS!!
Great Stuff! I was the lighting jock at Cheers (Dumbarton) when I heard Stevie play this at one of our BANG! nights in 1994. I also like another tune he played joe inferno - Tribal Church which was brilliant
Reminds me of a friday summers night in the feild 20 years ago on green triangles best pills ever made everyone in a circle dancing lost in music proper ecstasy not like stuff these days .
hi, i think the mix your talking about is the original, this mix was played a lot in dublin back in the day, that's why they've uploaded it, the originals good too, it's probably been uploaded by someone else if you do a search
Brings me back to the early/mid 90s scene in Dublin the olympic, the harp, sides, the asylum, ri-ra, mcgonagles, the ormond, the system, the mansion house, the waterfront@columbia mills, the blue banana. On the radio we had sunset fm, NSR 105, club fm. super Q(anyone remember that one?) power fm. Even MTV would rate Dublin as the best nightlife in Europe at the time and do a 1 hour show from the ormond multimedia. What a time to be young.
Ah classic tune. I was one generation ahead of u in Dublin, off my head in the UFO club on Sir John Rogersons Quay, till it got busted and shut down .Them were the days :-)
