Ashford Kiwi 3 New Features

Ashford has updated their popular Kiwi Spinning Wheel! The Kiwi 3 has four brand new features that upgrade it from the Kiwi 2. These features are an extended front arm with a hole for a threading hook, a wood veneer on the drive wheel, 3 ratios on the whorl out of the box, and most importantly of all... the treadles can fold up for easy transport. i have a kiwi 2 and a joy ( not sure if it is a joy 2 or not...got it used years ago). one thing to consider is the height of the orifice. the joy is lower than the kiwi. so after hours of spinning you might find your back giving you trouble! the person i bought it from said the same thing. the joy is really a travel wheel...compact, light. compare the weights of the two wheels.

I just brought a 3 home and needed to buy an art yarn flyer. The orifice on the standard flyer isn’t large enough.
