You guys should work on an album. Remaster some of the older songs, and hold off some future songs from release until said album is finished. It would be much more convenient with bandcamp. Anyway, love this song, I actually love the airy tone of the voice here.

I love the part just after 3:30 where she snarls out the line. So disdainful and really epic. My only concern is that the chorus is a bit overplayed, almost to the point of annoyance.

This is a good song
For a review-y thing:
The voice is airy - I would recommend getting a better mic to fix that or messing with equalization (Google it if you don't know what it is)
During the chorus, the voice starts to get drowned out by the guitar.
This song also sounds like it's a bit fast - a little slower would make it sound better, in my opinion.
Great job timing the lyrics to appear just before they're sung for the most part.
I love the way the lyrics both make sense and sound great. I found myself humming along on the first listen. Well done.
We're using an AKG 120 microphone for recording and we did mess with the EQ. I think the problem may have been a combination of the reverb and where the melody sat in Dulcet's range. Because it was so high up in her range, she wasn't able to use her chest voice for it, which took away her power. We are trying different things for next time though.

TBH I don't know much about vocals, what I've done is instrumental. I can't sing or find people wiling to sing, nor can I do lyrics well. The song is still great. :)

Survivors of the Siege Thanks for the offer, but it's not like I make them for any real reason. I make them for fun and to entertain myself in class when I have nothing else to do, and they rarely exist beyond the length of that class.
Though I could put up a couple of the ones I've made, come to think of it. I'll decided whether or not they're too terrible once I hear them again in school. :)

Thank you, we're glad you liked the song. We know the mixing is not the best, we're all musicians not producers and our knowledge of mixing is pretty basic all things considered, but we're learning through practice so we can only get better.

I am happy to have subscribed, so that now I am able to listen to this song all the time. Lyrics are one of the most powerfull of all I've ever heard. The mixing might need some work, though. It is just my personal opinion, but the mixing is a bit off, the music sounds artificial because of that.

In my opinion, the music doesn't match the lyrics, the vocals don't match the music or the lyrics, and the lyrics don't match the vocals or the music. All these are good separately but when together they sound like a bunch of noises and its hard to appreciate the song and the work put into it. While I still do like the song for the talent put in, I figured I'd best share my piece.
