    Love your peppermints. I don't have peppermints but I do have L183s. I'm hoping I have at least a male and a female in the 3 that I have. Time will tell as they are still growing on. :-)
    Keep up the great work. :-)

    Lovely work dude, do you have any tips to help trigger spawning. I have done the good old cooler water changes and even put a pair of bristle-nose in the same tank because I’d heard that could help trigger spawning and they are breeding like rabbits but still no luck with the pepps. Any tips or tricks would be appreciated. 😊

    Thanks Justin! I have always enjoyed taking a look at the peppermint bristlenose plecos that you have because around here in Toronto, I've not seen any. Would love to have some, but doesn't seem we have the availability. Do you know if this species has ever been developed with long fins?

    • @JustinsFishRoom
      @JustinsFishRoom 2 роки тому

      That’s so interesting that you struggle to find them. They are very common in Aus. I don’t think there is a longfin variety but I’m sure someone is working on it. Thanks for the comment 🙂

    Have you ever bred Pea puffers? If so, what's the best way to spawn these fish?

    • @JustinsFishRoom
      @JustinsFishRoom 2 роки тому +1

      I’m actually looking into getting them in a couple months. They are apparently very easy to breed. There are heaps of online resources about how to raise the fry which I believe is the trickiest part

    do peppermint plecos and bristlenose breed between each other??
    do you think one is easier to breed than the other?

    • @JustinsFishRoom
      @JustinsFishRoom 2 роки тому +1

      Great question! They actually can’t interbreed as they are two different types of plecos. However, I believe some types of plecos like vampire plecos can interbreed with closely related pleco species like the sultan plecos but don’t quote me on that

    That is hypancistrus pleco species on your video title image. Totally different plecos bro. Peppermints are not even close to them in terms of everything 1 is carnivore 1 is herbivore etc
