NNPC Exits as Dangote Refinery's Middleman

- Nigeria faces a new fuel pricing strategy following the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation's (NNPC) decision to withdraw as a middleman in petrol purchases at the Dangote Refinery. This significant shift is set to impact fuel pricing and availability, raising concerns for consumers and businesses alike. With NNPC stepping back, the Dangote Refinery will operate independently, which could lead to competitive pricing but also presents challenges for market stability. Tolulope Aderemi, Partner at Perchstone & Graeys, discusses the implications of this transition, the effects on inflation and consumer purchasing power, and the potential risks and benefits for the refinery as it navigates this new operational structure

Everytime they say it will get better it will get worse and everytime you think this cant get worse it gets even worse! - They also said they will stengthen the naira wilth all the things they will do and where we are now? 1650 NAIRA will get you 1 Dollar - wtf are they doing? I invested in a Stock of a company operating in 10 Countries in Africa and guess which Country fucked up the results and let my stock fall? YES NIGERIA! its so sad...
These people are aiming to sell at $1 per liter and that must not happen, Nigeria is not the only importing country not to mention we now have a 100% functioning local refinery. We need clarity in this whole situation because things are getting worse everyday.
All these are dusts that will settle over time. NNPC should not dictate price any more. Allow free entry free exit. All whoever can get from dangote should be allowed to. NNPC should make its own refineries work leave dangote alone.
