I’m 25 and I’ve rode pretty much my entire life for fun. Track and trail c class rider… it’s crazy to me I’ve never had my suspension revalved on any single bike ever in pretty much 20 years. Watching tate get his suspension worked while literally at the track seems so wild to me. So awesome I wanna have my suspension revalved someday I’ve heard it helps a ton even for slow guys like me. Haha. Great video as usually REED family !
@ I never said it would’ve helped at 5. I was just simply stating I’ve rode since I was 5 and I’ve never had suspension revalved. There are tons of kids in 50’s/65’s/85’s/125’s that have their suspension valved I was never one of them. Leading on from that I’ve never had any of my 250’s or 450’s valved either. I’m not a racer , I have raced before though in the C class as stated. I ride trails & tracks. Just simply stated I’ve never had my suspension revalved I’ve always heard it can be a huge help having suspension valved to your exact weight , skill level , etc.
@@fleece192 oh I know lol. I’m not looking for a pity party or anything I was simply saying it’s awesome to see someone literally have their suspension guy at the track with him. That’s awesome. I’ve never even had my suspension done it’s always been like a huge deal lol. Much less to make valving changes while literally at the track it’s so so awesome and I love seeing awesome things like this , part of the process of becoming a pro rider someday. So much goes into it. So pumped this channel exists
Kick arse on sharing some of the explanations on bike set up good or not. Greatly appreciated to see. Chad riding hard in civis was fun different as well.
I remember being at steel city in 2005 watching Chad.Him and another guy got together in the turn and went down.Chad picked the guys bike up and when the guy went to grab it he threw the bike down.I was like Reeds a real you know what. But I think that’s how bad Chad wanted to win.Funny thing is after that he grew on me like a car you don’t want in your driveway. He became one of my favorite racers. He reminds me of Webb Hungry,Great Race craft, with raw speed.Chad is and was the man.A true legend of our sport.I hope your son brings the same passion and hunger that his father Chad did.Tate is looking better every time I see a new video. How Awsome would it be to be a kid and having one of the best super cross racers ever to do it show you the ropes.I can’t wait to see the Reeds family name on the big show.
Chad on blue was always my favorite. He always had killer kits and just looked the best to me. Yeah yeah yeah I know looks don’t matter. Hey but they do. Ha. Look fast you better be fast
Really enjoying Tate's progression on a dirt bike. Riding blue, red, or any other manufacturer is up to the riders preference. Social media isn't in the saddle. Send it, Tate!!
Chad back on the yamaha . I remember the old days when chad was on the same team as daryl king in australia. Something seems so right about chad sittn on the blue bike
See chad is smart like Deegan he knows what it takes to be the best you have to work work work with your kids everyone says bullshit they make it because they have money no no you see chad always with his son working hard brian always with danger boy working hard you can be the richest guy in the world no amount of money can make you a champ you have to work hard and have all that heart thats why danger boy is what he his and why chad is what he is and why his son is going to be up there on the top box great job to all these guys
Yes no matter what $ situation. The work is everything. No one cheats the system in moto . U have to work hard and have ability also and then u really need the mentality.
Chad you mention the stiff rear vs front. You got tor remember some of these manufacturers rely on pros for the settings. The 13-17 Rmz450 was insanely stiff due to Js7. Eli tomac, in his interview with Gypsy tales mentioned he runs a very stink bug stance, as does Sexton. And i remeber taller riders like Everts were known to do this also, which i suspect is due to being pn the taller side and these riders tend to sit neutral/to the back a bit
Can you imagine in the future if Tate continues his improvement trajectory if a factory team picks him up and score Chad as a test rider/dad for free :)
I know the "two two in blue" is an obvious way to announce the switch, but I'm still gonna tell myself my comment from the bike test video is how they came up with the title😂
@@Buffington916 I have literally the exact same feeling every time I see someone calling the quad at iron man Deegan hit being called the danger boy double, I commented that on a gypsy tales podcast short ages ago then everyone started saying it 🤣
I would love to see a video comparing just the Yami and Honda work edition. That’s the 2 I’m trying to decide between and would love to see Tates opinion on the 2 because I’m 15 and wanna know what they feel like!
Yamaha themselves have a hydraulic clutch available on their gytr website. I'm also sure you can also get brembos that fit the bike anyways but the brake upgrade isn't really needed.
@ Man I’m a BIG brake guy. I have a Yamaha 250f, and a ktm250f. The front brake is just not in the same zip code. I added a steel braided line from GYTR, and a good set of pads, but those brembos are just amazing. We all have our little things we like and need. The only downside to the Yamaha hydraulic clutch is it’s only for the 450. I’m just not big enough for a 450. I’m 5’8 and 150 pounds. I don’t like the stock Yamaha motor either. I’m a mid to top guy. Don’t like alot of frontside. I threw a piston in my bike, a vortex. And had it tuned on 110, and that changed the game for me. Got rid of that ridiculous over the top frontside hit, smoothed it out, and now the power is broad, and pulls hard all the way to the limiter. I will give Yamaha credit. They have the best motor and bike for upgrades. It has the highest ceiling. That chassis feel is unbeatable
Technical questions: Do you reuse the same oil when you disassemble, adjust, and reassemble? If you don't, how much do you think you go through during a day like that? And do you test different weights during the day?
Can't add much more to Tate being on blue, but what about Chad stylin' in chelseas! Blundstones? I know he's not doing moto in the $$$ Aussie brand, RM Williams, ha!
Suspensions come first ok….but the stock exhaust sounds horrible…. It feels like it has a cork inside and stops the powerband at a certain point. Does it feel the same when riding? I definitely prefer austrian bikes powerband that allows to be revved to the moon… P.s. Tate is improving at an impressive rate! 💪🏻💪🏻💪🏻
Yes it’s annoying but racing the stock class it’s a must. I think they need to change the rule and allow pipes purely bc the stock ones are sooo loud and terrible sounding!
There is no amount of time. He will never be on haidens level. And that’s not a bad thing. No one is on haidens level. Him and Jett or the only people I’ve seen on that level this generation. It’s a rare thing
Stock exhausts always sound weird. My brothers 22 yz125 with the stock exhaust also had a weird sound up top as well but once the new exhaust was put on that weird sound went away.
so badass to watch the progression and I can't state it enough Reed belongs on Blue...hahahahaha...good ripping dad!

This stuff is so fascinating how these things change the balance of the bike
Yeah, nice to see it again: 22 on Blue)
Awesome to see a Reed on a Yamaha. Looking good
Dang Tate you looking good out there and Chad, always nice to watch you get on the bike. Buttery smooth...

Remember that blue and white bandana gear? I totally had that set and the matching pajamas.
Dude!!! How cool is that man the young man and the old man two two
Great video. Looking really good!!
Chad was the man back in the day on Boost Yamaha.
Love the whindam moment hopping on the bike helmet only showing him how it’s done lmao

Tate looks good on the blue bike. Not many have Chad's knowledge and it's refreshing to get bits of information as the kiddos advance.
Future supercross champ I’m calling it now
Good stuff 22 family…🎉
@TwoTwoTV I would recommend FCP race cups and/or longer swing arm
Lookin good fellas. Lil momma be killin it too!!! 🏁
Dang......that thing is loud!
Backyard BBQ Chad rips lol. Love to see it.
He is def improving!
He could have chose any color and Chad would have a wholesome race history with the brand.
Tate is absolutely crushing those big jumps, let's go State, looking real good on a bigger bike.
Top Show
Dude, Tate is so lucky to have trackside suspension set up. We can only dream of it, we need to send it to the shop and get it only a week later.
Looking great fellas , please let me know when you’re heading back to the private track, would love to come visit with the fam. 😊
Looking great guys. Didn’t see much of Kia.
Reed couldn’t help himself and had to jump on the for a whirl 😂
good choice
The blue bikes are made to win championships.

I’m tickled pink y’all’s back on Yamahas that #22 number just pops on a blue bike. Tate is doing really well on that 125
tate has improved outta sight since hes been on the yz 250f. every video he seems to be getting faster.

Chad going full sad mode hills my beer I don’t need gloves son!
Chad is Yoda and Tate is the young Jedi. He’s looking very confident on the bigger bike.
I reckon green myself personally but anyway all the best with blue
The blister on the thumb.
Yup been there.
YOOOOO
How long did it take olmate to remove shock and put back in ?
The Reed I know rides YZ
Chad's pissed that the Yami thumb is gone lol .
LETS GO
Can you imagine in the future if Tate continues his improvement trajectory if a factory team picks him up and score Chad as a test rider/dad for free :)
Although I pitty the suspension tech because he’s going to be busy ha ha

I’ve gotta ask too , are you guys gunna do the dual injector kit ? If so please do a video on it !

The comparison would only be fair if you too the extra money that the Honda costs and added aftermarket parts to the Yami and then tested them.
When is the first race looks like they both are ready to let her rip pretty soon we will be hearing Reeds do it again they both will be winning
If the rumours of Reed and Deegan teaming up are true, that would play a big part on which bike he picks
YZs are so good. I just wish they had the Austrian clutch design and brembos.

Is tate Racing again? Or for what are they do all this Tests? 🤔
Yep all the racing starts soon!
Just letting him get comfortable since he goes out and racing older kids it’s a big class

Yamahas have a weird exhaust note. Just sayin'. The kids are ripping
Stock exhausts always sound weird. My brothers 22 yz125 with the stock exhaust also had a weird sound up top as well but once the new exhaust was put on that weird sound went away.
Pretty sure thats the soft limiter while driving forward, in the air a different sound , hard limiter . It is on my sons 15 model
It might be the loud air noise from the airbox.
YEAH .0CHAD bACk to real bike . ktm is boring . love kawi rmz yz hrc
Front Fork rebound to slow
in my opinion that number 22 cant be put on any other bike but the yamaha it just dosen,t seem right on any other bike.
Tate needs to beef up and eat more and do more gym work.
Not hating but the Yamahas just look so ugly and big. But looks are not everything
