The black label, Dog Near Top issues are extremely common and if you have any duplicates of those, don’t waste your time trying to sell them on eBay because nobody wants them! However, some of the red labels are quite desirable. Of course the furthest back you go, the more desirable! I did notice that you stopped with the 447 prefixes and did not go into the GB prefixes, which begin with Burning Love/Steamroller Blues and went through to Unchained Melody/Are You Sincere.
You have a great collection of 45 rpm singles, I have a couple of dozen or so 45 singles ,it amazing that they are still making ELVIS 45 singles but there going for $6.99 or more new on amazon.
I have a few of these on all labels I don't usually do double copies of things if I come across one in great shape and I don't have a original or a different copy I pick them up especially if it is a song I am looking for
Those are some great Gold Standard Series 45’s Ed. Can’t believe it’s just about 100 of these 😮. So basically 5 different release of Gold Standard Series on these labels. Believe they started around 1958 if not mistaken. Could be wrong 😊 Great stuff Ed! 😎🙌👍🏻👍🏻
I collect whatever I can find if I don't already have it . Very hard to find in great condition in New Zealand . Can't remember how many I have but thanks to this video I'm going to be checking in the morning now
Great collection Ed. I have only a few but am I right in saying the Gold Standard series had some original pairings such as Kiss Me Quick/Suspicion and even Crying In The Chapel??
The first Gold Standard single was Mystery Train released in 1958. From there most, if not all singles followed to be released on the Gold Standard series. There were even a few singles that were ONLY on The Gold Standard series! Such as Crying In The Chapel, Santa Claus Is Back In Town, Puppet On A String, Milky White Way, Joshua Fit The Battle,
I noticed the label got the recording date of that's alright and Blue Moon of Kentucky wrong. It said they were recorded in 1955. Should have said 1954.
Your black label 70's version of Suspicious Minds is actually from the mid to late 80's (maybe 90's). I purchased it then only because it was pressed in the "Stereo" version for both sides. The prior pressings were always in "Mono". When I saw that in the record store, it caught my eye.
Hey Ed, I just love those red 45rpm record labels and the 1/2 or so dozen that I own are all in Mint Condition. They shine and sparkle !!! Ha Hard to find in good condition anymore. The Gold standard records are becoming real scarce in todays collecting scene, so hold onto them. Take Care.
Ed they started the Gold Standard Series in 1958 or 1959 with the dog on top label. Then in the 60's they went with the dog on the side. the 70's where on the red, orange and black label with the dog near top. Great collection!!
Nice video...I collect the dog-on-top, dog-on-side, orange and red Gold Standard singles. I tend to accumulate the 70's black labels when I buy bunches of singles and there aren't many of those that I am aware of that are hard to find. I have all but 2 of the dog-on-top, all but 1 of the dog-on-side, all of the red labels and only 3 of the orange labels which are very hard to find and very expensive. I see you have Love Me Tender and Viva Las Vegas which are very rare. Also, the dog on top She's Not You that you have is very hard to find. Other dog-on-top titles like Kissin Cousins and Viva Las Vegas sell can sell for hundreds of dollars. Dog on side Gold Standards of records like I'm Yours, Do the Clam, Tell Me Why and Spinout are also very rare while the dog-on-side Frankie and Johnny is nearly impossible to find. A lot of red labels are common but trying to find a red label Baby Let's Play House, A Big Hunk O Love, One Broken Heart For Sale, Ain't That Loving You Baby, I'm Yours can set a person back between $100-$200 while red labels of I Feel So Bad, Easy Question, Indescribably Blue, Long Legged Girl, Judy have sold for between $150-$350 dollars on ebay in the last few years. A red label Do the Clam sold for over $500 in 2021. Easy Question wasn't known to exist with 100% certainty but I found a copy a few years ago and have since seen one on sale on ebay which sold for over $300 (if I remember correctly). The only red label I am looking for is Tell Me Why but no one I have encountered seems to know if that one exists and I have never seen a copy in person or online.
@@TheKingsCourt1972 My pleasure. I am in the process of gathering information about numbers, release dates, label variations and values (based on actual sales of online sales). If I ever figure out how to make a website, I will put the information out with photos but if you are interested, I can send you the information when I finish. Also, the first round of dog-on-top Gold Standards was released 30 September 1958. 18 titles were released (0600 to 0618...there never was an 0606 released).
1965 was the first year for the Nipper on the side black label. But the Gold Standard series singles starred in 1958, the 5 Sun singles were the first to be listed. And the label had the old Nipper on top black label. RCA regularly reissued the singles on the Gold Standard series, with only the most recent singles remaining with the original catalog numbers.
I knew the Gold Standard series existed, I'd like to seek them out on all the same label, like all red, or orange or black. though I don't think it's possible.
Love that sleeve too good rockin' tonight
Im pretty sure the Black Gold Standard Elvis singles started in 1958 ............... along with the 3 EPs that were issued then ,
I think you may be correct
According to Jerry Osborne’s Presleyana VIII, it was 1959, but 1958 is close enough!

Very nice. I myself have all the gold standard picture sleeves which I love.
Absolutely fantastic collection of 45's.
WOWZERS. ⚡️🎶

Thank you xxx 💝
the orange 447s are not easy to find.

Dog on Top Dog on side Red label orange label Dog at 1 o’clock. Yikes
@@nickmele9968 Then if you get to the Gold Standard Extended Plays, you add maroon label dog on top. The EPs ended with the orange label however.
I noticed the label got the recording date of that's alright and Blue Moon of Kentucky wrong. It said they were recorded in 1955. Should have said 1954.
I've always liked the red label gold standard, they the first American released elvis records I got.

@@TheKingsCourt1972 hi add just like to say why have they missed Ronnie tutt out and all songs are missing from it
Edd take a look at bootleg s there are songs missing from 30 march 31 march why do they do this they keep missing up at Sony
Go to the comic book store in Baldwin. Get Mylar comic covers and backboards that you cut to put inside the PS. Keep safe forever and all is visible
Very cool collection
Hey Ed. Do you have any idea why some of the RCA Gold Standard 45's used a red RCA Victor label? Thank you!😀

Some of these Gold Standard picture sleeves are worth more than the original picture sleeves.
Picked up 45 red labels in Massapequa record show. Last year. Guy took 100 bucks I still need more but I got Dog on top Dog on side. Also 2 Maroon EP.
"Elvis Presely".... that must be one of a kind... maybe an Elvis impersonator... 😆
Idea , have video of Elvis unique record club CDs ,and England fan club records and CD,s
Super

Idea film closer to the wall to see Elvis pictures better ,less of the couch , TCB
All of mine are the 70's pressing which i purchased in the 80's
