Im glad i came across this video. Just received mine today and for some reason, it just doesn't sound the same as your model. Back to the factory for a tune up. Excellent video.
You have always helped me in the past buying trains doing all your demos so I know what I'm looking at they do have a plastic coupler heights trainworld just got mine about a month or so ago stay safe good luck on your house and can't wait to see your layout going up
The smaller mirrors behind the cab windows are spot mirrors. Used for seeing crew members down on the steps without leaning away from the controls to look out the windows. They are angled to line up with the main mirrors.
The Pride in Service units were immaculate,so I'm going to assume these are just as nice. Bought two Intermountain BNSF ET44's and they are...... they pretty darn nice.
Great review. I really wanted to get this version but unfortunately I didn't want to do a lot of modifications to the roof because I'd prefer the current PTC antennas. I wonder how Scale Trains is going to do their "Heritage Units"(with or without current PTC antennas). Awesome looking unit.
Well, I see that Scale Trains has announced their 2nd run of Tier 3's and they are making them with the "HH"(horse head) and Heritage units with the current PTC antennas. I'll definitely be saving up for those bad boys!
The CN ditch lights and dpu marker lights were goofy on my units. I had trouble programming, so I ended up pulling the decoder out and programming it with the ESU decoder tester. Everything works now. It’s the capacitors that are interfering with programming
@@jonahsemyonov9985 I was just about to send mine back and get a replacement board for my one ET44AC. But after seeing your comment I may give what you did a try.

That has to be one of the best locomotives ScaleTrains has ever done! Amazing work!👍🏻
I wish I had room in my budget for a pair of these. They look beautiful.
I wish I had room in my budget for a single one of these. Or any first hand and new locomotive.
I just received the BNSF they did a superb job on these units.
Thank you James for another awesome locomotive model review!

Now we need some heritage units!
Scaletrains mentioned it
@@sdrailproductions where’d they mention it at?
@@redengine01 Home page of their website. I'm too impatient to wait, so I'll just get the regular NS one right now.
I wonder when the UP units are coming. They have different varieties and numbers. Can't wait for the NS Heritage units and the DC traction units.
Athearn has some.
