The fact is everything he said has been tried and and found to be a bad idea. Flat tax?, deregulation, Trickle down economics. These are all tried and failed policies. The idea that a 80 yo Japanese person should just keep going to work because " I still work " Is short sighted and simplistic. It not a real idea. "Hey they should just keep working, I do."- Said by guy not working construction in 100 degree weather.

WOW! David, when you started your channel you, in the first month, interviewed all my favorite people. But Art? I read his book. He was someone who I thought was just ok. But this interview is, IMO, the BEST interview since you started your channel. Like, I want to bookmark and share it. Just great! Art isn't giving current events and I don't need to watch him daily, but he knows what America needs to do. And, since our governing group isn't going to doing, it just tells me how to invest and that I need citizenship in another country!
Dr. Laffer is amazing!! So sharp and love the unfiltered truth. I 100% agree with his assertion that the war in Ukraine would have never happened if Trump were in office. Biden perspires weakness and Putin completely took advantage of that weakness.
Very interesting interview and a somewhat simplified recount of the events that led to the decline of the middle class. It was not wealth redistribution that caused the decline in the manufacturing sector, but the relocation of whole industries in countries with lower wages. It is also hard to be a champion of fiscal restrain, when you are seating at the same table with Cheney and Rumsfield, who wasted at least 3 trillion of tax payers money, for the benefit of very, very few people.
Bingo !… my grandfather worked in western electric for 39 years and it’s long gone. Bethlehem Steel is long gone to name another example here in PA. My grandfather used to say we can’t just become a service oriented country (back in the mid to early 80’s)… we have to actually design, CREATE, and sell things etc. …he was way ahead of the curve, seeing the huge cluster we are in today as a country…. All for the shortsightedness of those businesses large and small.

We do have levels of inequality put in by rich people's lobbyists making rules to protect their established wealth/oligopolies... and institutions like the Fed inflating the price of assets for those who already own them, while simultaneously devaluing the incomes of those who haven't yet been able to acquire assets.
Trading is like a roller coaster ride. While it's obviously fun and exciting, there will be times when you'll feel anxious, nervous, or even powerless. When these bad times come, it's important not to panic or give up. One excellent thing you can do during these trying times is to keep your head up and work with the right strategy, as I am doing right now. If you don't have a strategy, contact Mr. Steven Rich for advice.

We don't need you to redistribute Mr. Laffer, we just need to be paid an appropriate wage that pays for the basic life necessities. Oh also, if we are the employee, We are the one producing, you may have supplied the initial capital, then you hired employees to produce for you. We just need to be paid, each and every one of us that is producing something of value to you, enough to live. Thanks.

None of these "money motivates" individuals ever address that "when America was great" the top band tax rate was often above 80%, and people were still motivated to succeed. Nobody can remember pre-Reagan tax theory, despite their MAGA hats. All my adult life taxes have mostly gone down, and all anyone on the right has said is they need to go lower in order to fix things, and the nation has been hollowing out the entire time and gotten economically weaker, mostly by increased wealth polarization. We've had 40yrs of this formula, and now we have assets bubbled so high that the younger generation can't afford to buy a house and replace the population, and the older people keep rigging the system so that they keep everything. I'm gen X and I'm fine, so don't think I'm a bitter gen Z'er. I just hate that this insanity is rotting the strength and leadership of the USA.
Thank you for this entertaining and informative piece. I wonder about inviting Mr. Laffer and Mr. Celente into a debate that you have been thinking about. Perhaps, we would learn a lot and have a good laugh.
