    I wonder can I ride it? It’s got a front brake but no rear! Remember when you was sixteen, if you had shoes on to drag on the floor to stop you would have done it I bet. Lol. Always entertaining and informative. What more could we ask for? I know it’s long gone now but those heated grips look like the controller I have on mine and they were the top of the range ones so it pays to know your extras on any bike your selling. Top of the range or bottom, it’s all pennies back into the coffers especially with it being charity funds. I’m enjoying Bertie Bodgits channel you recommended to us, not that he replaces you bro, but he’s very creative and well experienced so a great tutorial can be had there as well.

      I'm terrible David, many times do I take these kinds of extras off and throw them. Heated grips, side bars, back boxes, etc

    Think your fuel filter needs turning around so the arrow points with fuel flow

    • @motorcyclerescuer
      @motorcyclerescuer  2 роки тому +2

      The arrow is pointing the right way but yes the filter looks the wrong way round. It's not though. I thought the same at first lol.

      Its a little juddery at the moment, I want to do 1 more carb clean tomorrow for piece of mind and look at the needle and diaphragms aswell. Possibly sync them but not sure yet. In my head it should be running, riding and ready for mot tomorrow but I may be pushing my luck lol.
      Cheers dude

    Hello, did you change the oil in the gearbox, can you show me how and where?

    • @motorcyclerescuer
      @motorcyclerescuer  Рік тому +1

      It dosnt have separate gearbox oil I believe. The engine oil does it all?

    Have you got that fuel filter on the wrong way round. There is an arrow on it that at the moment is pointing towards the pump.

    • @motorcyclerescuer
      @motorcyclerescuer  2 роки тому +1

      Its definitely on the right way round. It looks back to front but it's not, I felt the same but double checked the arrow.

    I just rerouted the fuel pipe from the filter directly to the carbs disconnecting the fuel pump and have done a 1000 kms. without any problems which makes me wonder why it has a fuel pump at all'

    • @motorcyclerescuer
      @motorcyclerescuer  Рік тому +1

      Hi Anwar, what you need is a in line fuel cut off. Sometimes the fuel can leak into the carbs and then into the engine. It collects in the oil. The pump only pumps when the engine is on so stops this from happening

    • @danielgustavssonsimo
      @danielgustavssonsimo Рік тому +1

      So if you want too check if its not the fuelpump, you can disconect it and put an fuel on/off switch? And conecct the hose directly too thw carbs? Am i right 🤔

    • @motorcyclerescuer
      @motorcyclerescuer  Рік тому +1

      Your right yes however if your carb fuel needles stop working or get stuck then your whole fuel tank will end up in your sump. So it is best to continue using a fuel pump. If you do take it off you will need a cut of switch to stop the fuel flowing if the valves stopped.
      Does that make sense?

    Wait, what? The 650 has a fuel pump? I thought it was gravity fed! xD

    • @motorcyclerescuer
      @motorcyclerescuer  10 місяців тому

      It's a old video so I can't remember if I'm being honest.
      But at times people moved from pumps that had broken to gravity feed.
      Gravity feed isn't ideal though for a couple of reason. Fuel flow rate and overflow issues
