You're Kurdish? How can you be so supportive of Syria and Palestine but are so ignorant of the Kurdish movement, especially in Turkey. How are you so uninformed on the treatment of Kurds especially in Turkey, not only under Erdogan.Kurdish nationalism aside, thats pretty shameful because you seem like an intelligent guy. This is why many Kurds have an issue with so called Muslim brothers. They advocate for everyone except the Kurds who've contributed so much to Muslims and Islam. What a waste.

@@SouthBayRaywhy every single time I hear from Kurds, it's always this nonstop obsession with your ethnicity/culture? you say "Kurdish nationalism aside", but all you ever do is talk about Kurds and how they're treated here and there. All ethnocentrism and nationalism is low IQ. None of us had any choice to be born as who we are. Adopt Islam as your identity instead, as a whole and as a people, and you won't have any more problems.

Palestinian here. Regarding your comment about Palestinians saying we don't want to prioritize Palestinian liberation over Syrian liberation... this framing is incorrect and shows you don't fully understand what the problem is. It's not even possible to prioritize our liberation over theirs bc our liberations are actually tied together. Syrians will never have true liberation without the liberation of Palestine. This is because all of us in West Asia are collectively under the boot of American Imperialism. You have to think of the American empire as an octopus, it has one arm in Syria, another arm in Lebanon, another in Iraq, another in Egypt, Jordan, Saudi, etc. but the head is in Palestine. "Israel" is the core of America's foothold in the region and the colony that allows the U.S. to have influence and power over all of us. Assad was an evil dictator but pushing him out and replacing him with a CIA puppet allows the octopus to tighten its grip on Syria, which hurts all of us.
The goal of the axis of resistance is not about liberating Palestine alone, it's about liberating ALL of us in West Asia from American Imperialism. Overthrowing governments in other countries besides Palestine is like cutting off the arm of the octopus, it will only grow back. The only way to k!ll it is by going after its head (the dismantling of "Israel"). There's no such thing as a free Syria, free Iraq, or free Lebanon etc. without a free Palestine. The axis of resistance is our only key to the complete dismantling of American hegemony. All Arabs/West Asians have to understand that by hurting the resistance and blocking Palestine's liberation they're actually blocking their own freedom.

    • @maddada
      @maddada Місяць тому

Can you please show any proof that the new Syrian gov was installed by the US?
The "Axis of resistance" was propping up a brutal dictator that did to Syrians worse than Israel did to Gaza. (look up Saidnaya Prison)
Also look up the massacres the Shiaa militias were doing against the Sunnis. (Hizb and others)
My whole family had to leave Syria because of this *******. Syrians are finally free.
Palestine is in our hearts, and when Syria is stronger we will fight for our brothers.

Right? You would do the opposite of what he did from when he got in office. Assad did try to appease the west a little bit for example with diversifying his media from state based media to add other media at the behest of western pressures which helped propagandize the population.
But since the war started, Assad did the exact opposite of anything that would lead an educated person to believe that he was on the side of power for the sake of power.
How his country crumbled further after the ceasefire, how he didn’t implement any changes that Russia and Iran told him to do so, is just another mistake of many, but none of those were power moves, all the opposite.

That is a false dichotomy. The argument that "if Assad was evil and power hungry, he would have supported evil Israel" and because he didn't, therefore he is not evil, oversimplifies the situation and reduces it down to two choices: one is evil if one supports Israel. One is not evil if one doesn't support Israel. Using the "head of all evil" idea as a means to reject other forms of evil, no matter how grievous, is not reasonable or humane.

I am sorry…. But you’re wrong when you say Palestinians are OK with the fall of bashar because they are patient. That’s just an excuse. Scott is right. Bashar was-is a criminal…. But the timing of his deposition was not suspect, it was a crystal clear indication of who is behind it. In all of this I blame him though, and wish he managed his relationship with Syria better… with that said… you as an Iraqi should know more about the assassination attempts done against saddam Hussein, and the manner they were conducted would make ANYONE retaliate with fire and brimstone. Go ask your older family members about the attempt against his life by sending an old villager pretending to be elated with his visit and saying she slaughtered and prepared a goat for him to feed him and with her bloody hands stained the car he was in. If you were him in that instance, you would do what he did… because Arab ego runs so deep you cannot get rid of it.
Scott is right. Syria s fall set us back another century and the one hope we had in a settlement for the Palestinian cause without being dessimated is gone for the foreseeable future.
I m sorry, but with alllll due respect, you’re young, you’re not living in the Middle East, you’re sitting in an ivory tower with no factual observation to mention, and you’re theorizing…. You don’t have that right.

Scott ridder is wrong on the Palestine vs Syria comparison. The plo agreed to put down arms for a diplomatic solution. Whether or not that was the right thing to do or not it made the West Bank a demilitarized zone for the most part, meaning there’s very little armed groups in the area that can afford to challenge the PA. To challenge the PA militarily is to challenge Israel as well. So you have rag tag militias with little to no military/diplomatic support from the outside world vs one of the most militarized societies in the world that has the full fledge support of the worlds most powerful countries.
Syria had a civil war in which a faction of the military and volunteers from around the world challenged the state. These rebels were supported with arms and at times even military deployments and air strikes by countries all over the world including the us, Turkey, France and even Israel.
The reason why Syrians could afford to challenge Assad is because many international actors empowered them to do so. The same cannot be said for Palestinians. These are two completely different scenarios.

Fighting for a just cause is your guarantee of victory, justice will prevail eventually...this host is speaking from an emotional perspective talking about hope and time will show!!! while Scott is being logical and realistic....i am syrian and i am not happy about the fall of Assad cause what we have to deal with now is worth, this revolution was never pure syrian, it was orchestrated by the west and nothing from the west is going to be in our intrest, scott talking about the batheist making a nation out of nothing is true, before 2011 we had no foreign sovereignty over us we were an independent nation, no one had power over us not turkey not the US not even iran and russia, we were a prospering syrian nation which the west didn't like and so they drowned the area with chaos, and ofcourse as a government who is being fought by america and its allies you will need to have support and of course the only countries that will help you are those who oppose US agenda being russia and iran...we have a saying that says: the road to hell is full with good intentions, people may have wanted their freedom but they seeked it the wrong way.

There’s a BIG difference between Iraq, Yemen and Vietnam fighting for independence because they weren’t fighting ISRAEL.
USA would have given independence to Palestine LONG ago, but they will NEVER abandon Israel!

Ritter is on point. I find myself skipping the host. The brother has very little knowledge and its almost like a high schooler discussing an issue with a subject expert.
    Just let Ritter speak....
