  • Join Danny as he shows you around Penthouse Suite aboard Regent's Seven Seas Explorer. These staterooms have great separation between the living room and bedroom areas.
    This stateroom would be great if you were sailing with more than two people but didn't want to jump up to one of the higher suites. And we LOVE that they did it with doors instead of a curtain!

    My wife would never go on a cruise so instead I live vicariously through your videos. I enjoy the content!

      You could go on a cruise by yourself or with a friend instead.

    Looks like a very luxurious apartment. The closet and bathroom area is very small. Concierge staterooms seem bigger with a nicer bathroom and walk-in closet, with a desk, and seems roomier.

      Regent is luxury product where the crew to staff ratio is incredibly high. You definitely pay a premium, but these cruises are amazing!

    Does the penthouse suite have a full length mirror?

    I could not find your #ifyouknowyouknow, but I change my response. You are on Regent, so it was probably Harvest Caye. I have done the zip line there, and it is amazing!

      Harvest Cay and Great Stirrup Cay are awesome options, that is not where we were yesterday...

    What would you estimate the average age of your fellow travelers on Regent?

    • @HarrTravel
      @HarrTravel  4 роки тому +1

      So that really depends on season and sailing. AK in the summer would trend in the 40-60 range with a considerable amount of multigenerational travelers. While during off season "school months" it would trend significantly higher closer to 60-75.

    I have been looking at several penthouse cabin tours and reviews for splendor. I have a cabin on hold which is at the front of the ship (900). Not sure if that’s better or worse than being on the side and what the balcony looks like or if it’s even a different layout than the others. Does anyone know?

      The Penthouse C 900 will be the same size as the other Penthouse suites with the exception of the balcony and location. The biggest drawback is the location at the front of the ship. If the seas are choppy, you will experience more up and down movement as opposed to a suite in the middle of hte ship. Due to it being on deck 9, you would also have more pronounced movement in choppy seas. If you experience rough seas like you would get in the North Sea in late fall or early spring, you might have a rough ride. I would not recommend an upper deck toward the front if you have a problem with motion sickness.

    I hate it when "penthouse" is used and it seems inappropriate for a ship. Even if this were a building, developers are moving away from using it, as well; where it would be more appropriate. It's been over marketed to appeal to buyers who place value in a word which makes them feel "fancy" and I think that's tacky

      I totally understand what you are saying. In an attempt to clarify, most times when cruise lines use it in the tile of a starteroom it has to do with butler service. Not always, but in the case of Regent, Oceania, and Crystal that's all what it means.
