I always found this song so heartbreaking when it poppee up while playing that HoI4 mod. It made me realise how tragic war in such a place was. In that world, peace and harmony was always a possibility but instead endless war. And despite that, the ponies still kept hope for peace. It's so endearing, especially when this song is sung from the point of view that Equestria would dissapear, and despite that the dream would live on and be remembered. It's just sad for such a nice place to be turned ugly. Some high art shit right there.
