There's a level of respect between enemies. I love how he lights his cigars for him. But he's still his enemy.
It's called sportman's ship ..
Teddy Roosevelt is a good example..
He loved a good hunt ..he went on a hunting trip once for bears.. some people trapped and drugged a bear ..and tied it chest out to a tree.. teddy Roosevelt refused to shot the bear ..because it's wasn't sportman's ship it was cowardly..
It was out of respect. People back then had alot of respect for everyone. Even if you were enemies.
@@Vegimak True, oftentimes enemies have the biggest respect for each other more than their allies do
A good example of that being the enemy's undoing, is the ending duel in Quigley Down Under..
Then gets blown back to the stone age
I love when he smiles after throwing that dynamite , like he is actually proud of himself and also happy that his last trick worked
Hell yeah. Like " i killed 14 of you shitbirds another 11 is the cherry on top"- BOOM!
He always wanted to blow something up
He knew that his last ditch effort was gonna work, deep down inside he was always a trickster, and his title as the Gambler fits him well. If you got nothing left, you might as well go All In.
Also he was undoubtedly proud of the one-eyed Jacks line
Who wouldn't be? He's going out, but on his own terms, and taking his enemies with him to Hell on the express train.
I do, however, feel a flicker of empathy for the One Eyed Jack, if only because he literally Faraday's last cigarillo for him.
Wow props to Chris Pratt for passing Easy Pete's Explosive skill check
How'd he expect me to get that dynamite early on

I enjoy the fact that the enemy let him smoke his last smoke. But it was also his demise.
A very ying and yang act there
There's a level of respect between enemies.
The enemy unknowingly invited his death
I always knew smoking was bad for you.
why in the world would a bad guy, with all the advantage in the world do this? you have to really delude yourself into justifying this

2:20 there’s a difference between enemies bent on annihilating everything you love, and enemies with honor. He lit that cigar for him not as a dying wish, but to show respect for how honorable and how valiantly he and the others fought. Back then in the old west, this was one of the most respectful things to do for a dying enemy.
And now I really want a cigar 😂

The orchestra score from 2:13 to 2:45 is absolutely breath taking
You get that saving private ryan feeling. Not some happy ending where everyone lives, only those that they were meant to protect. As a tribute of their final moments fighting.
Well, this is a remake of a 60s film, also named magnificent seven, of which four of them also died. And that 60s version is in itself a retelling of a 50s Japanese film named seven samurai. Which also had some of its members die. So really it’s all parr the corse. None of them had happy endings where all seven saviors survived and everyone was laughing and telling jokes.
@@geeebuttersnap2433 7 samurai was loosely based of the 47 ronin wasn’t it? Everyone died in that too.
Negative, 47 Ronin is entirely different story about a group of Ronin getting revenge for their master.@@RomanvonUngernSternbergnrmfvus

Billy and GoodNight’s Deaths were the saddest for me
I love Chris's pratt he's such a good actor!
Yeah, he sure is!
That's what you call dying with your boots on. Great scene.
Every time I watch this movie I feel like playing red dead redemption
Chris Pratt, not gonna say it but he is still my favorite actor for a marine, cowboy, soldier or any law action movie...
When he shoots, the enemy dies with one shot. When he gets shot 5 times, he smokes a cigrt, sings a song and dances.
And says "dance off bruh"
Such a badass moment and a way to go out
One of the most Heroic deaths I've ever seen
I love this scene because it’s the opposite of who he was as a character. He was the joker; the gambler; wildcard.
In this moment he was the workhorse. He had a job to do, and no matter the pain, no matter the unlikelihood of it succeeding, he had a job to do. From the moment he left the barn next to Sam, he knew he had a job to do and he knew what the end result was going to be. It’s incredible that he took it upon himself to do it. He knew that gun had to be dismantled, and there was only one way to do it.
Given the liver shot, he knew he was on his way out, so he nominated himself for the hard ride. But that is multiple gun shots to body mass and falling off a horse at speed, and you can see it in his face when he like sighs and gets up after falling off. The only thought in his head is, “there is a job to do.” And faraday does it.
He still went out like a joker as well. Pulled one last trick up his sleeve.
😔😥
I like how they make the dynamite explosion right. Just a big pile of smoke and evaporated stuff, not a big ball of fire
Chris pratt always nailed it
These moves and actors always be remembered

Say whatever you want about Faraday as a character but you can't deny he went out like a boss

I think they made the gatling gun a little to strong than what it would actually be in this movie.
Graves Gatling guns were strong as hell, which was one of the reasons they were feared so much. Not only could they unload a high number of rounds in a short amount of time (at least back in those days), but they had very good penetration, which made a lot of cover useless after 1 or 2 shots hit the cover or they concentrated in the direction of where you were hiding. The best cover you could be in would be a densely wooded area with thick trees or better yet behind a thick rock, like a bolder. And to top it off, Gatling guns were fairly accurate, not as accurate as if you were looking down the sights on a rifle, but still pretty accurate, and the recoil wasn't a problem because of how it was a stationary gun that you just had to crank to fire, so even someone who had no previous firearm training (or was bad at aiming) could still hit their target,
I have to agree with Goldenhedgehog9. The concentrated fire of a gatling gun back in those days was like the MG-42 of WW2. so even if it was somewhat innacurate. it got 40 or so rounds down the range with minimal dispursion ( since it was mounted to a heavy frame). so all in all, the church tower scene is fairly OK in my books
The thing that bugs me is it's just... a gun. It's a rifle with a bunch of barrels. THEY HAVE RIFLES TOO! There is no reason to ride out to attack the gatling gun when you have a bunch of excellent marksmen that can just drop the man shooting it. Then the man loading it, then everyone else.
Suppressive fire, they couldn't shoot back.
bill withers So you are saying that you would want to pop your head and torso out of cover while being shot at by a gattling gun that is concentrating on your position? If you answer yes, you are lying, as all you would be thinking about in that moment would be to survive until they have to reload (which takes a very short time).
This is one of the best remakes! I can’t re-watch it anytime
"It was never about the cards" that one-eyed guy just literally lit the dynamite on his own death.
He went out like a Star lord
This is the closest thing we're ever going to get of a live action Red Dead Redemption film.
HE is a legend
2:44 CALL AN AMBULANCE..CALL AN AMBULANCE..
but not for me
I actually cried when I first saw this scene
Truly magnificent! Just think u dont need to be only a great gunslinger but also have to own a sharp creative thinking brain! On that time farraday's example derives that why he is so magnificent; not only a great gunslinger but also for having a nodding mind
Billy, goody :'(
BlackStar* Billy was legit my fav, and Goody was so good too
Honor amongst warriors fighting men regardless of creed is universal.
With four shots and still reaching his target, he finishes off his rivals and dies with a smile of victory.😎

Lol love the way he said "dynamite".
One of my favourite movies of all time.
Little do they know about that One Eyed Jack it's reference to an older western starring Marlon Brando titled One Eyed Jacks where Brando's character is being betrayed by his closest friend therefore Marlon's character does 5 year prison before he return and become the bitter enemies with once his best mate. This scene here in M7 has a counterpart meaning to Brando's movie and i liked it because the Chris Pratt like reference KILLED IT!!!!!!!
