Still needs the lap-steel guitar. Some of the greatest steel riffs in country music history on the Vince Gill version.
He deserves to be more popular
This is an example of why he's one of the most versatile vocalists today! His acoustic versions during his concerts are incredible!
That’s true
man im blown away, im only 24 and i think that this song is amazing
Amazing
Man...that's fantasti! Vince Gill alone on a stool in 1992 doing this song is what turned me on to country music... having you do this song ... chills ...
Wow David I know in my heart Vince has no problems with you singing any song he is tied to, I wish words could do as much greatness for someone’s life as they can bad, I will always be a fan and I won’t talk or sing along until you’re done. My best performances are full of bar fights and chitchat lol, 🥺
Beautiful voice, great song. Vince Gill writes such beautiful music and this is one of them
David Nailed it
-_-
He’s great
Home Town Greatness...way to go David
Awesome job!! It takes an amazing voice to cover a Vince Gill song. David is one hell of a vocalist.
Michael West He didnt he singing way way lower than vince anybody can do that!
I agree!
Meaning I agree with Michael West!
@@leewayneblue9339 He didnt have Patty Loveless singing high harmony with him; he did a great job!!
@@leewayneblue9339 He doesnt have a high tenor voice like Vince, that doesnt mean he didnt do the song proud!
Keep in mind people. THIS IS A LIVE VERSION. I think it's great!
Brilliant
I love this song good to hear real country music ❤️🤠🎸🎶
David is so talented. Great cover!
Great Voice
Great voice ..great guitar work..
nice tone!!
Class
To the ones saying this isn't like Vince of course it won't be because they are 2 different tones but this is damn good and I would like too see you try
You are right
Good job David. Choruses were extra good.
Loved it then, love this too!
BEAUTIFUL
I rushed home from work like I always do
I spent my whole day just thinking of you
When I walked through the front door my whole like was changed
Cause nobody answered when I called your name
A note on the table that told me goodbye
It said you'd grown weary of living a lie
Your love has ended but mine still remains
But nobody answers when I call your name
Oh the lonely sound of my voice calling
Is driving me insane
And just like rain the tears keep falling
Nobody answers when I call your name
Oh the lonely sound of my voice calling
Is driving me insane
And just like rain the tears keep falling
Nobody answers when I call your name
Oh nobody answers when I call your name
GOOD
Your voice is amazing....
freakin' good!!!!! dang!
wow....
Badass
Damn
David Nail is one of the most underrated voices in our beloved country music arena!
This is good. Still nowhere close to the original.
Um no not in the same key as vince gill but sounded nice
its called a cover for a reason
Not everyone sings in the same key
it's all about your vocal range not everyone can sing soprano like Vince.
Dude goes BEAST MODE on the mic. One of the best.
Great artist. Vocals are 2nd to none.
You David Nailed it! 🤘🏻Great job man!👊🏼
Sorry but No One can do justice for that song except Vince
Tim Rouse hate to break it to you but not even VINCE can sing it anymore. Saw him last year and he can’t it the notes anymore. I still enjoyed it though.
I think it's because Vince Gill sings in such low key now
