Many thanks for this video, really clear and easy to understand. Short question, what about Big carrier? I think they will unlikely work via web to collaborate with shipper. EDI carrier connection are also possible? how big will be the effort to connect my 20 biggest carrier? thanks again!!!
Thanks for asking. The portal interface is an option for carriers with little or no IT infrastructure. There are API's available for all process steps here: help.sap.com/viewer/product/SAP_LBN_FC_OPTION/LBN/en-US?task=develop_task When you sign up as a customer for LBN, your carriers will be onboarded to LBN through the LBN onboarding service, if not already on the network.
Thanks for this nice explanation how S/4HANA sales works together with TM. Looking at this mechanism of having freight units and freight orders does that also work likewise at the procurement side in S/4HANA where a company is managing a pick-up/backhaul scenario? And in case you manage a plant-2-plant scenario via a STO scenario will these order also be managed via TM with a freight unit and freight order?
Very happy to hear that you liked this video. And yes, TM also works with Freight Units and Freight Orders on MM-documents such as PO and STO. MM and SD document can also be combined as we show here: ua-cam.com/video/D2pQyJg0UFA/v-deo.html We also have video showing a pick up scenario, domestically. ua-cam.com/video/pLXueCMACk0/v-deo.html
Sorry for the late answer. It works the same way for procurement if the planning of inbound freight is performed in TM. Maybe a topic for a future video of ours.
very good presentation with system demos of SAP TM and LBN. Brilliant.
very good presentation we are implementing Freight Colaboration with just dock schedulling
