Today was the first day I came across this song and it really opened my eyes. I'm over weight and I've been bullied cuz of it. I did so many things just to belong, to feel accepted. Do I like me? No, but im learning to accept it. It is your body and your life. It's the only one you will get so learn to love it, if you don't like something about your self, change it but love what you have already. Because someone out there will soon love every single thing about you inside and out.

I'm eleven, my mom is dead I live with my grandparents and my dad and sister , I have 6 siblings, a huge family, and a big personality. I've always been able to make friends and to make people laugh and smile even though I hate myself. Yesterday I went on the morning show, to give a speech. I was really nervous because when your in 6th grade a big part of popularity, friends, grades,future success, all depends on how well you look and how well you give your speech, I didn't look good and they shoved a camera in my face and since I hate myself and I don't like seeing myself, I felt really sad to know that every one in the entire school was just watching me look ugly and fat af, I gave a horrible speech. but eight people within the first day said they were going to vote for me because I'm "funny". I don't know about anyone else because I tried to hide and be unnoticed by walking pedestrians, aka students/critics. but I was in the elective for computers and I was designing my PowerPoint and this girl behind me said , "j, I'm not voting for you" and I said "I don't care, it's okay" she was like "yes you do". I didn't but it's like whatever, than her friend was like "yeah J I was gonna vote for you bc your the only decent one but now I ain't" I was like "I'm sorry you feel that way" and she was like "YEP" . I honestly don't know why they don't like me. Ive never been rude to them-ever. And they went up to my sister and said "yo sister kinda ugly and you thiccer than her" my sister already calls me fat, ugly, hoe,dumbass. And it isn't like it's just meaningless name calling because it isn't, she genuinely hates me. The girls just basically added on to it. cried today bc I just don't understand why people have to be so rude, I know. Ugly I know I'm dumb and I know I'm not the most popular girl but, I've been through things that most kids my age haven't, I almost got ran over, I almost drowned *SEVERAL TIMES*, I almost got possessed, I saw a girl drown at sea world, I've seen the cops over 12 times iny life (*my mom and dad fought alot*) , my mom set fire to my dad's house, I've been on the show cops, and Alot more. And honestly my life has been crazy and I've always been an outgoing , popular, talkitive , bubbly, funny, person. And when people say things it just makes me feel like I'm nothing and nobody likes me. I don't understand why people don't give others a chance, I've always given people a chance. And I've made REALLY good friends by doing so, and im one of the funnest people you could meet, it's just there, but than I can be quiet, antisocial, and insecure. it's like a switch, but they haven't even given me the opportunity to introduce myself. The only talent I have-the only good part of me, whatsoever, is singing. And that's what I'm here for, I feel ya girl.
I'm in love with this song. I knew it was a very deep song from the first time I heard it, but reading all these lyrics and singing them alone... I haven't even finished the song, and I'm already in tears. Everyone's always pressuring people to be who they aren't. I use to be very anxiety filled and insecure. I never really fit in. After I asked myself this question, I realized I don't have to dwell what others think. I did get over my anxiety by that before I ever heard this song, but still. Very meaningful words.

This song honestly means so much to me. Not only was it really encouraging in high school and beyond (cuz I would always compare myself to other girls... Still do) but I remember the first time I heard it. I was with my dad in the car listening to the radio. He seemed to like the song too, even looked it up on his phone.. That was 2 years ago and to this day that's actually the last time I saw him.

This is a truly emotional song that will always remain in my heart. I cried the first time I heard it! Everyone must remember that even though other people may not like the fake you, I'm sure they love the real you and so does God.
This song speaks to my heart. It tells me that you don't have to be perfect, just be who you are. You shouldn't try to be someone who you aren't because everyone is perfect in their own way. I'm always self conscious, and comparing myself to others around me. This song truly explains me without me having to explain anything.
