Hmm, I think this particular segment of the podcast might have been a bit more potent had it been released last week rather than after the two crushing by-election victories over the Tories and latest polls showing the Labour lead increasing in certain polls. So, I was a bit baffled by the drama over the lead 'slipping away' as I shouted 'Err, no!' at the laptop screen.
Surely these polls are a bit biased? I'm 43, have never taken part in a YouGov poll, haven't got any other friends who have either, not that, that would be conclusive, I don't even have a landline... I think they're just Boomer opinions.

Labour and Kier Starmer are terrible, nobody wants them but Sunak and the Tories are far worse. unfortunately given the current political situation, we currently have to wait 9 months to replace a government that people hate with a government that nobody wants. The political party we need and that actually represents the people of the UK does not currently exist, nor can it be formed without a serious risk of splitting the vote and allowing the torries a path to snake it's way back in. The political situation in the UK is bad and unlikely to get better until later this decade.
I suspect it might if they continue to behave as arrogantly as they did yesterday in Parliament. A silly political stunt that could cost them tactical votes in marginal seats.

The public have had enough of the Tories and will vote to remove them later this year, rather than voting for Labour.
