He is like a breath of fresh air in this industry where it seem like every kpop idol is hiding behind a mask trying to be cute or just something they’re not for the sake of being liked by fans. Agreed. I'm a very visual person even though I grew up in the age of radio shows so I appreciate the internet and UA-cam now lol
But if we were to go back to only having audio interviews, Jackson is someone who would be perfect for it. He has a very soothing tone that's easy to listen to and takes that extra time to explain things verbally which isn't easy to do for alot of reasons. The fact that he admitted he had a hard time telling people how he felt and hearing him talk about it is a huge achievement.
So I think you could have the best sounding voice but it's how you use it that makes it liquid velvet to the ears or just interesting in general whether someone is being serious or joking around.

If you think about it, its even more interesting that he does it. Cause Korean isn't his native language. So when he can't find the right words in English or something, he thinks of it in Mandarin and then translates that into Korean for who he's talking to. It's really interesting considering he speaks like 5 languages.

Simply put, thank you Jackson, for being this real, this human, you're the standard. If I wasn't a kpop fan since ages, even so I def would be a Jackson Wang stan no matter what.
And to Eric: I was so impressed with your skills to direct the conversation, to have the awareness, the empathy towards such deep answers to every question, that's some therapy skills right there, I'm almost graduating uni for Psychology and even I became nervous with such open and honest interviews, because you're talking about feelings, life experiences and perceptions right there, such delicate topics.
So, I want to congratulate Eric for that 👏🏻

What I gather from this interview is that Jackson has kept a lot- like a lot of thoughts and emotions to himself for over a decade. Well, that's KPOP for you. At that age I was also struggling to find myself. I had a good career but I had too much baggage. It didn't feel like I belonged there. I was not myself but because I didn't want to sacrifice financial stability, I just kept going until COVID happened, I was in a downward spiral. Then finally I broke down, got diagnosed with PANIC DISORDER. I realized, fck it, even if I grow broke, even if people look down on me for quitting, I'll still leave. I left my career. The noise around me disappeared. I went into therapy. I was struggling financially but miraculously, my mental health wasn't declining. Now I'm almost recovered, I'm starting my new career. This interview reminds me so much what I was going through back then. I hope that one day Jackson will find his person, or better yet he find his person in himself, that at the end of the day you can say to yourself, welcome home and you did well today.

When jackson talked about his breaking point and how he pushed people away but had a moment where he realized ge shouldn't push those around him away just had me in tears because I have been doing that too and recently I have an amazing support system and I'm learning to ask for help. I love that he opened up! Jackson is such an amazing human!❤️

I appreciate how open Jackson is and how Eric is able to make his guests feel comfortable enough to talk to him about such deep sentiments.
