The United States must collapse, and take the world economy with it, in order to create the chaos that will make possible the rise of anti-christ (I think). Fortunately, faith in the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ has saved us unto eternal life. I believe the Church will be taken before the seven years of tribulation. Pre-trib, mid-trib, or post-trib, or even no rapture at all, is not an essential doctrine. As long as one has faith in the completed work of Christ's sacrifice it does not matter what one believes about the Rapture. What is going to happen is what is going to happen. +WHATISTRUTH I think the more you read and learn about the subject, there is definite basis for a pre-trib rapture. It's all based on how you read the the Word. If you take it literally and know the origins of the Hebrew teachings, then there has to be a harpatzo first. Doesn't mean we won't see troubles before the great trouble, and there IS trouble coming, but there has to be a consistency with what scripture teaches and that consistency is only found in a pre-trib rapture. Further, we are very blessed in the US as Christians. We are not experiencing the wrath that the rest of the world's Christian population is seeing. We need to be in prayer for them, and for us. We need to be more involved in voicing what they cannot voice. I think the sin we will answer for most is the sin of ignorance and being detached and uncaring to the other Christians around the world. If you aren't awake yet, its past time. I think the rapture actually propels the Christian to sound the alarm better than if we are to be here through the end. During all the chaos, who will listen? The chaos is marked for the enemy to cement himself in his ways. Its before the chaos that is the time for action. You can see it throughout history. The flood, the exodus, the destruction of Sodom and Gomorrah, Jonah.. always a criar before the destruction, and always a way to escape it offered. How do you escape the great tribulation? by not going through it.
