This entire video clip was incredible in all aspects, incredible footage, professional narratives and very informative. Venomous pit vipers, large fruit bats and Komodo dragons on steroids, what a great place for a family vacation. what is the turnover rate with the tour guides here. I cannot believe how close these people are too these dragons because Komodo dragons are very unpredictable, extremely fast and kill tourist all of the time? How are these goat not in a protective fence or closure, they are like a all you can eat buffet for these dragons. I have traveled all over the world myself as an adventure traveler/hiker/diver and am really impressed with this 19 year old persons attitude and perspectives!

@@MillerWilson When I was there we were 3 tourists with a 19 year old student from Sumatra as a guide and there were no walkways or things separating us from the lizards. The huts at the guide station were on poles and there were Komodo Dragons in the shade under them that you had to pass just a couple of meters from to get into the huts.
Your pretty brave man, I wouldn’t go near one of those things, imagine if one of them had never eaten in days and just tried to trick you and attack you, love these vids man, keep it up

I was there in 2002. The guides allow you to touch the tail of the larger ones after they have been fed as they are so docile then. Gorgeous island. Rinca, its sister island is more agile with younger komodos but less commercialized. We did a 4 day tour from Bali to Flores then onto Komodo Island, however if you are uncomfortable on boats as I was it is probably best to fly as near as possible, before travelling by boat as Miller suggested.

I'm debating going on a dive trip to Indonesia next summer. Just got back from 2 weeks in Bonaire and I need to make a video for you of all the stonefish/scorpion fish I saw. Saw them in all sizes but the coolest was one about 4 inches long. I was so tempted to try to pick them up (like I learned from you!) but all the reefs surrounding Bonaire are considered a protected marine park. It is against the rules to dive with gloves because they figure you will be more likely to touch something. Cheers mate.
Great video. Some of them looked pretty chilled out. I think they can eat up to 80% of their body weight. So even a fairly large human, would not be beyond them.

yes it had some construction work for a new walk way on when we were there but i heard it was great

Yes everyone keeps telling me there are so many on the island but only had limited time that trip so keen to get back
