It's amazing how the world has caught up to them, but they still sound and look futuristic. I didn't know that many of their songs have been used in ads, movies, and TV shows. I saw them way back in 1996 on the Lollapalooza, when they were the surprise guest act. The '80s nostalgia thing started before the '90s even ended.
I'm so glad that I managed to catch Devo playing in Glasgow in 2007. Before that, they'd only played in the UK twice, and that was in England in 1978! Lol.
What a cool show. I remember jamming to my DEVO mix tape back in the mid 80's while I was gaming on my Atari 5200. I honestly didn't know they still did tours. I still to this day can't play Robotron on my emulator without DEVO playing off my Spotify tracks.
They are retiring while they are on top, and before the decline starts. Plus.....when you get that age it gets harder to get the body to react how you want. I'm a drummer in his 50's and arthritis is a real pain (pun intended).
@@yeahright302 - They are still playing sold out shows now aren't they genius? You don't need to release a new single to still be a kick ass band. 🙄 I should've known somebody with a username like ipfreely wouldn't be a deep thinker. I was right.
Good thing I don't need to see them now that you posted all the hi-lights here, they even learned the song from Ridiculousness, how did they do that, jk, lol. I also wonder why people can be such pigs sometimes, that place does look really nice, and good venue for smaller shows to come into.
FAREWELL TOUR?lol.wtf.they had 1 hit and i dont think ever toured again after that!!!so yeah the farewell tour was never was.sad these old bands just want just a little more money to go to the old folks home!!!
Thank You for filming this :)

Great one, I love it when all of these bands have Farewell tours lasting years, I guess they're trying to make everyone think it is the last one.
Totally awesome Kurt! Loved it so much! Bonus that you showed the UA-cam theater, never been there. Thanks for sharing! 👻🙏🏼
Awesome! Love your videos!
I hear you about the trash, much respect to that concern you have; a testament to who you are.

I love Devo. I saw them at Cruel World two years ago, great show. Thank you Kurt.
So excited for this video!! I have worn out my 50 years best of CDs I got a month ago. So many good songs!

Love DEVO! ❤
Devoted!
Why are they retiring?
They still sound so good.
Maybe they are making fun of KISS and the 40 Farewell tours they have done in the past 25 years :p
@@ryry998 lol. Yeah, maybe so.
It gets people out to the concert. 😂

I was right.
Does anybody know if this was filmed by UA-cam for future release ?
Those hits are timeless ❤ The other songs….well….they’re fun.. :)
