I feel fees are justified If you are getting that level of placement (IIMs). I don't think it should be subsidized as most of the pass-outs are opting to work with foreign companies.
Not at all taking note of fees of practical science based courses , there is no cost of additional resources like tools,instrument, fauna,chemicals,specimen,models etc . Why they have so much fee???
Meanwhile fms with 2 lakh fees😊
FMS used to be 20000 around 2008, but still FMS is damn good value for money,

Whereas in mba people don't have anything called practicals
these degree don't have any value
Mbbs and md degree in private colleges are for rich people imcompetent children, who can not even clear an entrance exam. So these degrees have no value. Specially those russians and central asian one. Tje hospital i am currently working they dont even consider taking interviews of these chapri graduates from pvt colleges. One of my coaching mate from kisangunj pvt medical college used to write physiology as FISIOLOGY, that too while he was in second prof.

Remove IIT from the list .
IITs have reasonable and affordable fees and if you are reserved category student then you will get full tution fees waiver because all the IITs get huge funding from central government every year . Same way AIIMS and other government medical colleges get .
Fees of IIMs and also law colleges like NLUs have high fees because they do not get fund from central government as most of the education budget is spent on Medical and engineering studies in India. They are autonomous and have to maintain all the expenses on their own . That's why they charges more and because of huge brand value created of these colleges, students try to get admission into them any how and ready to pay as much they charge.
