Nice job on the install. One suggestion if you haven't already addressed it. The gear mesh on the reduction box is way off. That's why the whining is so loud. I assume they are straight cut gears, so there will be whine, but not that loud. It sounds like the mesh is too tight/close. Fix it before it fixes itself! LOL
I bought same in Srilanka 24 V 250 w motor kit , using two 7 amp battery connected in series. It is not lasting for 15 mins of operation. Any advise on good battery? Or total amp required to run atleast 1 hour

Would like to see specs on the kit he installed, motor could be used as generator to recharge batteries when driving as normal bike. Also go with plastic marine battery holder? Didn’t see grommets installed into metal battery box to protect wires rubbing and shorting? Like box idea for different battery configurations but controller may overheat so weather resistant venting might be considered. Very good video, would love to see a design where motor supplements the pedals instead of direct to rear wheel in order to utilize the different gears existing?
Manioj I agree solar panel good idea, AC charging station would depend on batteries being used. Also rear brake light could easily be incorporated into battery box design.

A solar panel that small would be almost useless: 10-15Wp at most, plus charge controller. That wouldn't even offset the weight added by the panel itself.
@@AdiShaktisRadiance given battery size, I'd say at least 100 to 150W. Given the average efficiency of ultralight or foldable high quality PV panels of 15/16%, that's almost 1 square meter of PV panels. And that box cover is probably less than 10% of that.
Is the front derailleur still usable or can it interfere with the motorisation? I don't know if you have made some test but if the F.D. is still usable should be good
well done. inexpensive and simple kit. Only would like to advise using lithium batteries. they weigh less and have more capacity. lead batteries are very heavy.
On eBay in UK conversion kit like that is on eBay for 70£ without battery these are scooter battery which are like 10pound each all together maybe 110£ but you need extra things like welder and stuff
idk bout a kit but i might be building one for myself just gotta decide how the solar panel is gonna mount to my backpack 🎒 battery and if 100,000 watts AC motor is enough... how many 18650s to get my voltage/amperage to power it ... might have a low speed mode for passing pedestrians but otherwise i wanna be flying past f1 🏎️ racecars on the freeway

You can also add a charger for the batteries so that while you are on the road the batteries can be recharged.

your speed controller is 24v but you wired the batteries to 48 volts is it safe? just curious coz I'm doing this build too. in 2022.
