      Alana House hi I don’t like the use of yeast in traditional sweet bread but if you want to use it I’ll say 2 teaspoons I hope my answer helps..................

      Annisa Mohammed I myself spoke on this a lot on other demos thank you for your comments please understand Trinidadians will always use certain words I study a lot culinary wise you be blessed when I’m teaching a lot on any particular demo I get cursed/cussed out by haters/trolls I read ignorant comments all the time like all the time the typical hater will say we don’t care get on with the video even if it’s margarine it’s known or called butter in Trinidad clearly the label states margarine you be bless...............

      Genevieve Thompson hi Genevieve thank you I appreciate you. 🙂, Tonka bean seed it’s a seed on the inside of a pungent smelling brown fruit. The seed of it is fuzzy once the fruit is eaten, however when you crack the fuzzy seed you get the seed I showed on the demo/video. You can also google it tons of info. I did a Food feature on it several weeks ago on my Facebook business page: Food By Chamion you can check out my page. I do a lot of Food features(brief bit of in-depth knowledge on foods)

      Ashley Gill hi I’ll suggest that you use 2 medium coconuts or one extremely large one blend with 4 - 5 culinary cups of water depending on the amount of sweet bread you’re making keep in my you won’t be using any water or milk I hope this helps

      @@FoodByChamionWilliams Hello again, I believe the "spice" that I've grown up using is from the Cassia bark, it's similar to Cinnamon and Grenadian Ceylon in taste and aroma. I never knew it could be Bois Bande. Thanks for the info. I'm trying your recipe now ;)

      shirley gomez hi it changes the texture of the sweet bread. Makes it more of a smooth texture sweet bread should have a rough texture more so the top 🙂

      I always use your recipe and another lady own...sweet bread that is but I'm not getting the water correct i have 25 sweet bread to make i usually make it but never that amount only two for the most can i double up on your recipe or no?

      Melissa Rampersad-Jagmohan sorry about the delayed I tried several times before this without success so here goes my sweet bread recipe this demo was recorded well over a year ago so I’ve since updated he recipe please follow all the steps above
      Trinidad & Tobago Sweet Bread By Chamion 🇹🇹
      10 cups of all purpose white flour(sifted)
      3 cups of sugar granulated or brown
      1 teaspoon of fine salt
      9 teaspoons(level) of baking powder
      12 ounces of butter
      2 large ground coconuts(grated/ blended with
      its milk)
      1 cup of mixed/candied fruits
      1cup Of raisins
      1 cup of maraschino cherries(chopped)
      3 teaspoons of Spice powder(ground)
      3 teaspoons of clove powder(ground)
      3 teaspoons of grated Tonca bean seed
      2 teaspoons of aromatic bitters(optional)
      2 teaspoons of mixed/ vanilla extract or essence
