Ultrakill Act II Ending - Narrated by John Whinfield

A narration of the ending slides of Ultrakill Act II. Again, totally unnecessary, but I felt like doing it. There was a lot of interest from the folks over on the NewBlood Discord server, so here it is. I also managed to finally figure out how Gabe’s voice is edited. Regardless of all that, I hope you enjoy.

4:29 I love the tone of Gabriel's response. No angry, not full of hard conviction like Gianni's own voicing, just tired. His death is something he's completely accepted, and throughout this slaughter the idea that he will die doesn't even bother him.
And why should it? By the time all of this is over, the last one standing will be the denizens of Heaven. Far out of the machines' reach, no more demons or humans to haunt them. Just their paradise far above...a dead, barren world, devoid of even blood.

Well, in the Divine Comedy, there is an entrance to purgatory in treachery, and from there, an entrance to heaven, so they aren’t entirely safe from the machines, either it will end like the way you described, or it will end with all of creation being slaughtered at the hands of the machines, and with nothing left to kill, they will die, leaving a world with nothing in it.

how did you do the gabriel voice effects?

I edited it in Audacity. First, record audio, then make a new track. Then copy aforementioned audio and paste it on the new track. Then select the second track, go to “Effects”, and hit “Paulstretch”. Set the Stretch Factor to 1.0 and Time Resolution (seconds) of 0.25. Then realign the tracks so they blend a lil better, and go to “tracks” then select “mix”, and finally “mix and render” the two tracks as one. Normalise the finished product as necessary. Have fun!
