Excellent. There is so much conflicting advice on stance, ball position and how much to open the club to hit bunker shots. What you've presented is the simplest, most straightforward advice I've seen. I think placing the weight on the left side and keeping it there is critical to avoid hitting the shot fat or have the leading edge skip into the back of the ball, each of which I've done.
I’ve heard so many of these instructions before. Yet like a good chef ,You have taken the ingredients and made a perfect dish. Your video is the essence of simplicity You move along quickly and get to the point Just like your video where to aim this worked for me perfectly Thanks
Been a reasonable bunker player but now have a problem with my left knee which is a bit trickier putting too much pressure on the knee. Unfortunately hitting a few shanks in the bunker. Any help gratefully received 😊😊
I like to imagine a tee under the ball and swinging the SW to clip the tee out of the bunker. Only time this doesn't work is bunkers with compacted sand.
Sand conditions vary so much it is a big problem for me. I was playing at a resort last week and I hit right where I needed to except the club skipped and I skulled the ball way cross the green. When I looked at the bottom of the arc, there was a dirt spot. There was about a quarter inch of sand at that spot. I don’t know of any technique that will guarantee a good shot when you can count on the depth of the sand.
I'd like to know how to play out of green side bunkers that barely have one inch of sand and then right under that is hardpan. Every time I try a shot from a bunker like that the shot is predictably bladed over the green due to the bounce of the club bouncing off the hardpan and making the leading edge of the club hit the back of the ball.
Thanks!

Thanks Tom
Thank you for such wonderful advice for us who like me are always struggling with these shot in the sand. God bless you and your love ones
Great to have a lesson yesterday Ali! Played 2/2 bunkers out and close! For anyone watching, this works 100%!
Thanks Iain.

Very well explained 👍

Use your most lofted club, close the face slightly to reduce the bounce and take speed out of the swing.
hands low really helped me not hit too fat
What if the bunker is a bad one, short and steep with compact sand?
Surprised you didn’t mention right hand throw to get the club vertical at impact.
Lot's of different ways to do it. That is another
@@AliTaylorGolf Looks to me like you are throwing in this video. Doesn’t look like your normal swing.
Did you say - slightly wider stance, weight forward , “touch the sand” ?
I need a technique that’ll get me out of bunkers 10 times deeper than this with overhanging lips and full of soaking wet, hard packed sand!
Touched sand before hit...illegal
Talks too much..
