@@jhinabloomingflower807 nah mate, Sam's swinging looks dated in today's standards. I'm saying TASM holds up really well 10 years later, especially TASM 2.

The tobey Maguire version swing is just too nostalgic
Agreed agreed
Nostalgia has nothing to do with it its just better because of the camera it moves with spider man making you feel like spirderman
@@mindlessyoutubeuser6435 for me tobey’s version feels too floaty like he has no weight, andrew wins in swinging even tho i still like raimi’s story
Mobey taguire is my favorite spider man
@@zyrenjones8453 it's Tobey
Tobey’s swings are more nostalgic, but unrealistic because of how smooth they look. Andrew’s are my favorite, because they are creative/parkourish and resemble a spiders, plus the physics are more realistic.
Tobey swings are not very acrobatic, it seems like he is kinda of struggling a bit, andrews looks a lot more comic accurate
It’s because Tobey swings in 200 Hz refresh rate.
True because that was the point back in that time to now in some comic book movies they try to bring it to a real world perspective like the dark knight and zack snyder dc movies where they try to bring it to feel relatable back then they try to be as campy and comic booky as they could like SPIDER-MAN, X-MEN , HELLBOY.
Stfu
It is only because by the time Amazing Spiderman came there were many new / modern technologies to film these types of unreal performance. In 2002 there were no such good techniques to film this scene, and they still managed to do such a great job.
If Tobey's spider man was made in 2010s there would probably have been much better physics and much more realistic
Imo Andrew's the perfect fit for the spiderman that I would imagine in a big screen, the style, the quips in the movies and the silhouette is just perfect. I know and understand some of yall hate it but I think TASM is my personal favourite, so much potential. Love the suit as well, unique as hell.

Best swing scene in general to date:
Andrew's opening swing in amazing spider man 2
TASM 2 was the first time I walked out of a Spidey movie and felt like they actually got the swinging right. One of the best sequences other than that is when he's chasing Electro. It's the small things, like occasionally having to climb up the web while swinging or the micro adjustments he made to maintain his flow in the opening swinging scene, the choreography actively including parkour maneuvers and techniques, it all gave it the most fluidity and flair of any of them imo. It's certainly the closest to how he swings in the last game they did, Tom's feels more like Miles mixed with Ultimate Spidey, and I wonder if that's because all 3 are relatively inexperienced

Actually, it was only in SM2 that a real camera was sometimes used. They made some calibrations, used that footage to prepare the coordinates and they put the Spidey model on top of the recorded footage
I'll always love tobey maguire spiderman background music (the one when people carry him in a train) it sounds so beautiful, soft, heroic, ah I can't describe it with words, it's amazing
True. And train scene is so awesome..it's unbelievable how those graphics hold up well even today.
I think it's called his "responsibility theme"
Also "at long last, love" is an amazing track in the trilogy.
Also "at long last, love" is an amazing track in the trilogy.
@@unscripted3209 Yes, that one and the finale from the first film are basically the same. They incorporate Peter and MJ's love theme with his final swing. I love it.
I simply love Garfield's swing, he feels like a spider, at the end when he shoots the web his body recoils just like when a spider jumps, just as agile, as light, as powerful.
Tobey's Spider-man is and will always be my favorite Spider-man movie of all time but....Spider-man: Into the Spider-verse is the best Spider-man movie specifically if we're talking about the story and plot of the movie.
1, 2, 3, TASM's and ITSV's feel more earned. The final swing is supposed to be symbolic of the fact that Spider-Man has overcome the struggle, and understood the message of the story. The MCU Spider-Man still has yet to learn the message of being his own Spider-Man, so that's why his just doesn't feel earned... yet. Let's hope Spider-Man 3 finally gives us the Spider-Man we truly need, and deserve, and give us a swing sequence that is truly EARNED.
Exactly how I feel , well said
Spiderman 3 doesn't have a final swing, it ends with Peter and MJ dancing
@@moonknight3526 Spider-Man 3 was too tragic for a triumphant swing 😔. RIP Harry.

I loved andrew's final swing on TASM 1. Makes me wanna cry and go back to 2012
every time i sit on chair i remember this shot,
literally i just watched it again the other day and i was so emotional
Me too. Not only my first spiderman movie but one of the first superhero movies I saw in theaters (that I remember anyway); that's why Andrew Garfields spiderman will always be the best to me. I miss 2012
I never watched TASM 1 (also known as the amazing spider man) but the suit of TASM 1 was amazing for me and the web shooter
I have the discs for Tobey’s trilogy, I would watch the swinging part nonstop. It was so addicting for some reason.
Somehow they felt more realistic for me. Like he could get hurt if something goes wrong.
The newer, is more cool, but at the same time, look's more superficial, like they don't respect the gravity.
Sam Raimi's Spiderman movies gave a good sense of just how high up Siderman was when he was web slinging. The way the camera follows him from the top and then down to the bottom of his swing in longer shots. I also like the way he uses one web to move him forward and shoots a second one to change his course to avoid obstacles.
I have the vhs for 1 and 2
I own all Spiderman movies
@@connorfrericks1534 same when the no way home comes out im gonna beg my mom to drive me to the disc store to buy the no way home movie
The webswinging scene that hits me hardest is Tobey’s first, when he’s chasing Uncle Ben’s shooter. It’s raw and angry. He’s enraged and just wants to get from Point A to Point B to catch the guy, so he invents webswinging out of sheer determination. I love that. Raimi filmed and edited it with such clarity that we can watch the evolution. It’s chaotic. I get such a charge when he runs down the alley with that fierce look on his face.
Ngl TASM's spiderman looks the best and the swings are really good
I always loved how the suits looked so realistic compared to the others
TASM 2 suit just looks so spidey idk why and I like it
Spider-Man 1 still has the best ending & final swing.
What no he doesn’t The amazing Spiderman has the best final ending
@@AB-uz5wu
Nah man. TASM1 sure has a great ending & final swing. The swing scenes in TASM1 & 2 are awesome but the Spider-Man 1 final swing is just really majestic.
Facts bro
@@SpideyFan2002 most of Tobey Maguire's fan are just grew up with his spider-man, imagine if TASM was made in 2002, people would love that movie. I mean like more than half of Tobey spider-man's fans are just nostalgic fans
Facts
I hate that people think so low of the ASM (or TASM if you're like me) series. It was epic. The themes, the camera work, the CGI, and most of the casting (sorry Andrew, you always sound like Peter just woke up) was awesome. The first movie's final swing was really epic. The theme did great to make us feel his triumph. TASM 2's theme even more, except from the beginning.
Tasm 1 is great I love it to death but tasm 2 was a big mess story wise it only a few good moments and the actors sometimes act dead but mind you I still am willing to give the series The love it deserves
Tasms are well....
....Amazing. Not as great as Tobey, but still some of the best Spiderman out there.
@@Chosen_one_501 I think that too. Still. Andrew is my favorite just cause I grew mostly with that. And Spider-Man 3, but... eh.
I also like to think as Tobey having the best Peter. Awkward, shy, emotional.
Andrew has the best Spider-Man. Quippy, vibrant, badass suit (especially TASM2)
Tom Holland is balanced but I’d say he’s the most relatable and realistic Peter (cause unlike Andrew and Tobey he was actually young). Not only that he was a gymnast so he can definitely pull off amazing tricks. So can Andrew but he isn’t as known to be fair.
@Son Goku, I remember when I was 8 and went to go see TASM, and me and my friends were so hyped for the sequel. And for a bunch of 10 year olds in 2014, it delivered. I still love TASM 2 today, but for me, Tobey will always hold a special place in my heart. He was like my hero as a kid and as a teen I can relate to him even more. Which is weird considering that Tom Hollands Peter is my age rn, yet he doesn't feel like Spiderman. For me, he just doesn't have that same legendary and heroic vibes that the first two had Spidermen had. Also, I agree the suits in TASM are so cool. I like how one is completely different and embraces that, and then in TASM2 Gwen makes him the classic, badass looking suit.
Story telling was bad tho. Really bad
That scene from 0:22 to 1:15 alone is better than all of the Tom Holland movies combined.

The Toby maguire one is just to clean and the music also 😩😍
All of these webslinging scenes are great in their own way. All of them have something that the others don’t. (Also for the normies still arguing about which Peter Parker is the best, all of them nail some trait and/or characteristic from the comic book Spider-Man that the others don’t. Tobey nails the awkward teen maturing into a responsible adult, Andrew nails the edgy teen becoming into what a super hero should be and Tom nails, again, the awkward teen while also being a genius with high intellect, designing his suits, suit powers and gadgets. And yes all are comic book accurate, fight me)

So satisfying watching every spidey swinging
2:13 Proof that TASM has the BEST swinging and music scenes
Edit:HOLY COW! Didn't know this would blow up! Thx for the support
The only good music scene was the crane scene. Search up The Crane Scene from TASM. It was the best scene in TASM. But Tobey is better imo

Toby's first movie swing in the sunset after that last dialog and the orchestra it’s pure art and magic. Perfection!
I love all these majestic final swings, I know alot of people hate on mcu spidey, say all you want, I love every spidey but mcu spideys swing feels well earned for his character and growth as spiderman
Not to criticize Tom's Spider-man but the other versions had such quick, smooth camera angles and shots that made the web slinging look sooo much more epic
@@marcovi2806 agreed, although ffhs final swing isn't as good, I still gotta appreciate how they made it all practical for the final swing (just a bit of cg to fix the wrinkles of the suit, they didn't make it fully cg) plus the build up of the spiderman mcu theme was astonishing
Maybe in the third film he will have a better final swing, that way we could also see his progression as he masters being Spider-Man, for example how there was none in homecoming because he was barely starting out as a hero, in the second he has a bit more experience so he has a swing, and the third he has more dynamic motions to solidify that he is Spider-Man
@@Albino_Basilisk that I want to see! Spiderman 3 might be the greatest movie of all time !
NObody out here appreciating miles morale for having the best swinging sequence as we actually see new york and the points in his life plus it so nice to look at
Honestly yeah. Miles has such a good swing. You can feel his personality oosing into it with every move. It's flashy, it's fast, it's loaded with parkour, and the interim scenes showing his life as Miles outside of being Spidey tie it all together perfectly. You can tell the people who choreographed and animated that scene did it with so much love and care. I hope they feel proud of the final product
FACTTTS!
Andrew is my favorite spidey, but Miles Morales's entire character is so damn relatable. His final swing is hands down my favorite, when he says "YOU can wear the mask", I wanted to jump on my roof and web sling to a nearby tree.
His swinging sequence will be in different category
Miles is animation
Others have to have real life cities
Miles morales is last
Nobody cares he’s black
I loved all of the final swings. Andrew Garfield is my personal favorite for spiderman, but Miles Morales's final swing was my favorite final swing moment. The way he was talking, the music, the meaning and feeling behind his words, it was perfect. Can't wait for another movie in his universe. I'd give the stunts of the final swing to Garfield's spiderman, but as a whole, Miles had the best one for me.

Peter swinging in Far From Home is how we all felt whilst playing the PS4 Spider-Man game, just swinging and posing for the camera
Hehehe
Listen, I love the mcu Spider-Man movies, but they seriously need a new, more dramatic theme song for him, it sounds so lame compared to the first trilogy and the TASM movies’ themes
Ikr
Exactly. It’s so forgettable and sounds like any generic superhero theme.
yep only reason the tobey / sam raimi trilogy is all the more emotional and dramatic is because of danny elfman’s awesome score! i believe it got nominated for an academy award as well 🤔 you can especially see and hear it when tobey swings. you have this awe-inspiring choir in the background, which intensifies the swing in addition to the awesome cinematography as the camera pans steadily to his every move 👌 it’s freakin seamless 😲
The movie itself is not as dramatic as the others. The theme fits well, and the TASM theme also has a lot of resemblance to other dramatic or patriotic soundtracks. You could put it in any war film.
How does it sounds so lame"? It sounds pretty triumphant than not, if anything.
0:50 you have the impression you swing with him Best Part!!
No way home has a beautiful final swing scene, new suit, classic colors. Just enjoy it 🕷️
Nothing can beat Tobey's in the original Spider-Man. Every move he did was comic book accurate. The way he pulls the web through his legs.... unbeatable!

nothing except the amazing spiderman
@@Red_._. yeah bro raimi had good swings but tasm swings were so legendary
I noticed that I prefer the Raimi endings and all swings from the raimi trilogy and now I know why: It's because the way the camera follows spiderman (and the why the músic plays) gives the sense that the viewer is following spiderman from a distance and in awe of everything thats happening. It's NOT so close and personal, which gives the sense of the viewer being a bystander thinking "Wow, wish I could do that".
Also, spiderman swings more gracefully and reminds me alot of the 90s and 60 cartoons. Especially the flute at 1:41. Thats a tribute to the 60s cartoons. Raimi did his homework.
Not to criticize Tom's Spider-man but the other versions had such quick, smooth camera angles and shots that made the web slinging look sooo much more epic
TASM 1, far from home and into the spider verse is my favourite.
FFH Final swing is Amazing, maybe the suit isn't as "realistic" as Andrew's but it does feel grounded. That was my main concern with the swing of Raimi's movies.
