This is a good vid. When I first returned to America from Japan I was shocked by that as well. Some of the simplest things would have such a higher price tag attached to it but it definitely depends on where you are. Just buying salmon here in Chicago is maybe 4 to 5 times as much as what I'd pay for it over in Japan. There are trade-offs everywhere though. Japan has its pluses and minuses. America as well.
Also, on a sidenote. You're the MVP (Most Valuable Performer) of the Quarantine Era. Just consistently awesome from March til August. No matter you've been called upon to do, you've always performed great. At least from the perspective of myself as a fan. There are some others that have performed great throughout. Everyone's role changes show-to-show. However, you've been great from then to now no matter you've had to do or changes you've had to make. You're the MVP.

In a way, I think the cost of salmon would depend on how close to the water you are. Granted, Chicago is further inland than South Carolina. Gotta figure in transit costs.
